I've spent £269.99 + £170 to up my PSU - all because of a Port. Thank you Nvidia

I just read several Reddit posts where fellow 4090 users are saying, "Well, I'll just get the 5090." This situation seems absurd. I don't blame Samsung; they shouldn't have to delay monitor development for Nvidia. It's quite annoying. Hopefully, I can use my 4090 for the heavy lifting but output it via the 7600. If anyone knows if this will work, please inform me.
I'll keep everyone updated. Later, I'll create a YouTube video to express my frustration and share my experience to prevent others from making the same mistake.

So, I went ahead and ordered a 7600 graphics card to make the most out of the monitor's 240Hz native refresh rate.
ordered the hellhound DP 2.1 fml. hopefully 8x 4.0 pci E wont choke the 4090By the way, which 7600 do you have?
I read somewhere (can't remember where) that DP is optional on 7600 cards, e.g. Powercolor's 7600 Fighter says DP 1.4, but the Hellhound says DP 2.1. Similarly, XFX's Speedster says DP 2.1, but MSI's Mech DP 1.4.
Agree. More need to think about shopping around and not feeding into Nvidia’s monopoly.Like you said. Nvidia know they have a following. They can skimp on things so you need to buy tue next gen. What nvidia don't understand is people buying the 4090 like cards will buy the 5090 and then the 6090 even if its just a bit better than the cards 1 tier lower than them. Thry don't need to keep things like high refresh rate hardware back.
Thanks for this !Not a big deal according to this article.
actaully, not defending NV here, when the 4090 was developed/releaseed new DP spec was not fully finalised & certfied. where as when the 7900xtx was launch it much further along/completed. changing DP standards mid dev cycle is hard. its not just a new label. could require entire board redesignYou know what, I'm pretty sure Nvidia had all the info well ahead of time about the top-tier monitors out there. These monitors should definitely be supported by graphics cards that cost nearly 2k. Even the 7600, which is just a £250 card, can handle this standard. They could have gone for a tiered approach, which I'm not a fan of either, but maybe the 4090s only have DP 2.1. Well, live and learn, I guess.
sadly PBP is limited to 120hzLots of potential problems but I wonder if it is possible to use PBP mode with the display using 2x inputs from the 4090 running at higher refresh - though in my experience you don't usually get 2 perfect side by side pictures and/or still refresh limited and/or a pain getting games to span both screens.
Would also have issues I suspect with any implementation of adaptive sync (though apparently the display has issues with adaptive sync anyhow).
Nice card. If I’m not mistaken the RGB is addresable?ordered the hellhound DP 2.1 fml. Hhopefully 8x 4.0 pci E wont choke the 4090
Not sure sending it back, got the 7900xtx red devilNice card. If I’m not mistaken the RGB is addresable?
I just had to share this with you all – I recently bought a massive 57" G9 Neo monitor, and it's arriving today. I thought my trusty 4090 graphics card could handle it like a champ, but turns out it can only get me 120Hz because of its DisplayPort 1.4. Pretty disappointing, right? So, I went ahead and ordered a 7600 graphics card to make the most out of the monitor's 240Hz native refresh rate.
Here's the kicker, though: when I use both cards, they'll each run at 8x speed because of PCI lanes. I considered going all out with a 7900XTX, but the resale value just didn't add up, and I'd end up losing money.
So, a big shoutout to those who helped me figure this out, but I also have to say I'm a bit frustrated with Nvidia. This experience has convinced me to switch sides – no more Team Green for me.

Also Nvidia.
"Should we be concerned about the dodgy 12 pin connector on the 4090 that could be a fire hazard? - nah it'll be fine".
