Beko washer dryer over heating

When I have no idea where else to turn turn to the ole faithful...

As far as I know the machine isn't the one of the recalls from 10years a go.

Put on a load of washing this morning (wash only) and it tripped the MCB, checked again an hour later and the utility room was like a steam room.

Machine was that hot couldn't touch it, buttons unresponsive so obviously switched it off at the wall.

Any ideas how to trouble shoot, or known if it's even worth phoning a repair person?

Previously wash gave no indication that there may have been a fault.

Update, there was a blockage at the "appliance nozzle" at the drain. The internal drain (wee thing at the bottom) doesn't look the worse I've seen but the water is still scolding hot so had to stop.

Screen is temperamental and the door is still machine locked.
Both doesn't explain why it may have tripped when first on.

How old is it and do you still have the receipt?

Could be worth going back to the retailer, even if out of warranty you never know.

I would replace it, it sounds dodgy. Personally I wouldn't buy a Beko as they have had some quality control issues. Quite a few years ago some of their tumble dryers had a fault which made them catch fire; it's probably rectified now but I'd rather buy something else.

Think that's what we may end up doing. Seems an electrical fault has development with the control board, currently can't get the door open!

If the machine still has water in it, it probably won't unlock until you drain as much water as possible from it. During draining, you might hear the lock click unlocked which might be a sign that you can open the door.

Ended up braking the machine...
Decided it was out of warranty and had no reason to believe it wouldn't overheat again even if we could open the door...

So, yeah, new washer and dryer time (we have space to go separate)
Any dryers that are plumbed into water waste?

My Beko washer dryer model BPro500 has just tripped the MCB. Overheated by the looks of it, too hot to touch the outside, drum still too hot to touch after an hour, will be contacting retailer tomorrow as it is less than 4 months old. Not impressed.
