Looking at this card as it could fit in my new case. Only thing is ive never heard of Gainward. anyone use them before, do they make good cards and whats the support like, does OcUK help at all?

You would have to ask Ocuk exactly what the warranty returns process entails, but at that price and 2 yr warranty I wouldn't be buying any Gainward/Pallit/Inno3D.

Nothing against them as one of my previous GPUs was a Pallit 3070 which was very well built and faultless, but at £517, the 2yr warranty was forgivable, at these prices however 2 yrs is a no-go imo.

Guessing you'd get a direct replacement within 30 days, then after 30 days it should be getting sent back by Ocuk to Asia for repair.

The second(final year) of warranty, you may have to deal with Gainward direct yourself which would mean paying for courier to Asia one or both ways and customs forms to fill out.

If you don't fill out customs forms properly you could be paying a customs fee on return

You could also be left with a partial refund if it can't be repaired/no replacement available.

Doesn't the Zotac fit, it has 5yrs warranty with iirc a UK RMA base?

I just rma'd one, they use dual ball bearing fans that emit an incredibly annoying pitched hum at any rpm with haloing too(I thought it was a fault at first), see zotac cards with the same issue. Such a shame really because the card had no coil whine for me (a first from the many 4080's and 90's I have owned) and the temperatures were very good, I didn't see them go over 65c in my sff case at stock. As for support from overclockers, well I had to ring after 4 days to get my rma started as I received no answer to my rma ticket so not a great start and I also had to pay to send it back. Person on the phone was alright though.
