Don't believe everything you read, also nowhere did Sancho say that he'd lost the dressing room.

To be fair, it's massively undermining the manager - but that is a risk a manager takes when he makes comments like that.

ETH gave Sancho quite a bit of time off to sort himself out, he's been more than fair, and Sancho hasn't improved at all.

I don't agree with the statement but he has every right to respond after his manager slanders him in public. ETH should have kept it behind closed doors, praise in public, reprimand in private.

It's also not entirely clear if Sancho is disagreeing with ETH, it's clearly been written by him rather than a PR person because it doesn't make sense. He mentions not to believe everything you read so it could be responding to people claiming he was being lazy in training rather than ETH specifically (given he then goes on to say he agrees with the decision and respects the coaching staff)

Where does it say he is talking about the club?

Did ETH say why he wasn't in the squad?

All I have seen is that ETH said he wasn't up to the level to be selected for the squad. That could have been a number of reasons. Didn't he say the same thing about Garnacho earlier?

Remember Dele Alli interview he had a lot going on in the background. The tweet could be aimed more at the press than anything else.

This will get ignored by most but it was such a needless comment to make. When you've had a patchy start to the season and you're getting criticism already, why come out with what he did? What reaction was he expecting those comments to create? Even if Sancho didn't bite back, all it does it create more negative headlines and whether deserved or not, Sancho's going to have friends in the squad who will be supportive of him and not like the fact that the manager's called him out in public.

I don't think it's aimed at the press. Sancho tweeted that statement pretty soon after ETH made the comments, the media didn't have time to make a big thing out of it.

Yes, I can't see how it helps really.

If it's not aimed at the press then why did he say don't believe everything you read? It wasn't a written statement from ETH, it was a question in the press conference. The rest of the statement doesn't make sense if it's aimed at ETH.

Really it's a lesson as to why players have PR firms, because their own statements might make things more confusing.

I get the point and there might be an element of "language barrier" but the manager has answered the question honestly. Hojlund comes in, adding another forward to the pool of players which in essence means more competition for a spot. If Garnacho and Pellestri have shown better in training and attitude then someone has to miss out. A man would knuckle down like AWB has and work hard to get back in the team. Sancho has not done this and chosen to cry in public.

To be fair to ETH, he's just one of those brutally honest Dutchmen, it's sort of ingrained in them to speak their mind and not passive aggressively sugarcoat things the way we Brits do.

I'm not getting involved in whether Sancho deserved to be in the squad or not or whether he needs to knuckle down. My post was purely in regards to the way ETH replied to the question. He's been the Utd manager for over a year, been through the whole Ronaldo drama and managed at the biggest side in Holland, he knows that saying these things will cause headlines. Had he replied with something along the lines of "Sancho is an important part of our squad but I can only name 18 players" then there's little reaction. His answer not only creates a story but it could end up ****ing off more than just Sancho.

ETH has held Sancho's hand and 'protected' him long enough. the man was asked why he wasn't selected, he's answered it. if sancho doesn't like it, either get the grafting boots on and change the managers mind, or **** off.

He must be really bad in training if Antony is still starting:p

Antony brings far more to the game.

It is the same as all these bums getting on Onana. Yes DDG might have saved a couple especially in the Spurs game but DDG would instantly give back possession to the other team due to his poor distribution making everyone having to work harder leading to more goals anyway. As shown yesterday we keep the ball a lot better than before. With DDG our possession stats would have been in the mid 30's at best.

I don't know what to make of this club anymore. Yesterday, we played better than the previous few games, could have been a draw (or win if VAR wasn't so picky :P) but the better team won. This Shancho thing is another drama we don't need. ETH sent him away to train away from the spot light, get his head in a better place and integrated him back into the team slowly. He hasn't performed in any game, a flash of some good football sometimes, but generally, not any good to be in the team. That can be said of many players we have. AWB knuckled down and got a great deal better. He reminds me of Dennis Erwin, a silent player. Plays footy well, does his job, doesn't moan, keeps himself to himself. If only we had more like AWB.

Rasmus looks like he can do great things for us from his cameo yesterday. Garnacho is just a player enjoying football and when he plays in his position and to a plan, he plays very very well. The team needs him. Bruno, mardy but an engine and a great player. Rashford, I think he needs to either stop moping around and lift his head and think a bit more about his playing style, he could have contributed to many more team goals over the last year or he should be sold. Eriksson, a free player who to be fair has done wonders for us, cant really keep up for a full game but a good squad player. Casimiro, great player a little off the pace so far but I think he will get back to how he was before his 35 red cards last year.

Maguire can do one.

Glazers can do one too.

The whole club needs a full on change of everyone. Bah, i'm juts ranting I have more to say but can't muster up the energy as its getting hot

Rasmus will regress after 6-12 months.
