I can't imagine a scenario where Russia would use their entire arsenal against the UK though.

Modern nuclear weapons are a long way from the world ending scenarios of the peak of the cold war with lots of big multi-megaton atom bombs but in some ways that is worse as many many more people would survive in unimaginably grim conditions.

I’d be very surprised if Russia has anything like it’s reported capability and TBH seeing how far corruption and ineptitude has set in within Russia’s military and politics, I think Russia might have some nuclear liabilities sitting in silos if they was to launch. Seeing how the Russian military can’t service ball bearings or fit the correct tyres I think managing Cold War money no object antique missile systems could be well beyond the Putin regime.

It’s only Putin making nuclear threats. The world has many options to punish Russia.

TBH I wouldnt supply C2s. Its adding logistic challenges.
And we dont have that many.
Better to just simply buy some Abrams from the US who have thousands and donate them.

I think the C2s were really just to enable the move to send modern MBTs. Once we had committed it reduced the hurdle for Abrams and Leo2s
