Would you buy this?

Nope. Not with a CVT gearbox. Although, at least it's got some power.
Also, that mileage, not sure what it means for the hybrid gizmos.

And that price? Bloody hell.

And no, I wouldn't buy it, it looks absolutely awful and they're far too claustrophobic inside.

What is wrong with CVT gearbox or am I going to open a can of worms and go way off topic here? Our Honday Jazz is now 17 years old and the CVT gearbox never gave us any trouble, it is my wife's car so smoothness > powerrrrrr

Strong ask at that mileage, but I do like the car itself. Being different is cool.

To put it into perspective though - the next cheapest 16 plate one is £25k

So it's almost half the price on account of the mileage.

Also to rack up that much mileage (almost 35k/year), then it's likely been doing long motorway runs, so presumably the hybrid side of things is barely going to be used.

It's a gamble for sure, but not particularly worse than anything else - yes it could end up with issues, but you could pay double the amount and still have the same issues.

My Corolla has a CVT, I have no complaints about it. It goes about its job with zero fuss.

Price: close to average
Mileage: 182k above average

Simply on that alone I would not buy it at that price.

Presumably that's price: close to average for other examples at that mileage

The average mileage is nearer the 60k-100k mark and they are all £25k

I find dishwasher fascinating ! So many way to cramp more into it each time like a challenge not to have anything piled up until it hits the spinning parts lol The 3rd tray for knifes and fork was the best design ever :)

CTV being dull I think it fulfilled what it was designed for, I don't think you can find it in any performance car

I love my GS450h I had which everyone thinks it is a eco hybrid but in fact it was a performance hybrid just to add a bit of starting power and recovering brake power was just the side bonus.

It's certainly interesting and a very low price. As mentioned, assuming motorway miles the wear should have been kept to a minimum (but you never know).

However, it is high mileage and the hybrid system could throw up some fairly complicated problems in the near future.

Interesting imprint on the drivers seat, some sort of logo perhaps? It would be good to see the MOT history if we had the reg.

Correct, the next cheapest one as mentioned is £25k.

The seller runs a business and I am sure they priced it right for a reason, it could be priced way below market value because of the high milage numbers. If I am buyer I would definitely test drive and bring a mechanic to check over, could be a bargain.

It’s a Lexus. That mileage it’s just about ran in. If it’s genuinely half the price of others then yea. It’ll absolutely fine. Cvt hate is random, early boxes from Nissan etc were rubbish but there’s nothing wrong with them in general.

I think it's a great buy in that price range. The hybrid system will be barely used if it's been sat on the motorway and it's relatively uncomplicated as the self charging lexus/toyota hybrid has been around for years. The rest of it looks fairly clean apart from that weird seat imprint.

The seat imprint IS weird. No idea what would make an imprint like that. Ask the dealer for the proper Reg and check the MOT history. It'll have had at least 4 since it's a 2016.
