Hey folks,

I've got this 57" Neo beast with a 240Hz refresh rate and 7680 x 2160 resolution, along with two 1440p 240Hz HP Omen 27x monitors. But when I hook up all three of them, I'm only getting a max refresh rate of 120Hz on each screen. Is this normal or am I missing something?

In the description for Powercolor's Hellhound it says only 2x DP 2.1 are supported at one time, so it sounds like there's some kind of bandwidth limitation (though I can't find this restriction listed for any other manufacturer *), but whether that applies in your case, I don't know.

I think DP 1.4 can support 1440p @ 240 Hz and you would need DP 2.1 for the G9 Neo.

Are you using 3x DP to connect them?

* Edit: XFX have, they say 2x DP 2.1, 1x DP 1.4 and 1x HDMI.

thanks very much for the reply, I have the g9 on the DP and 1 of the monitors on DP ( assuming its running at 1.4 ) and the other on hdmi 2.1 :( Red devil 7900xtx

As mentioned it's likely a hardware bandwidth limitation with the GPU engine

AMD lists the 7900xtx has supporting max bandwidth equal to: 8k 160hz

I used a bandwidth calculator to figure out the max bandwidth of the 7900xtx is therefore 200GB/s

Now for your screens, the Neo 57 inch requires 160GB/s to operate at 240hz and for the two 1440p screens you need a total of 63GB/s. That's why you can't run them at the same time at 240hz, total bandwidth required exceeds the GPU's max

Thank you very very much, I understand I guess this means I'll have to run one screen of my igpu @120hz - thanks again
