Hello Everyone as the title I recently built a budget b650 setup using a 7800xt mba, but when I power up the system there is a horrible squeal from the gpu for a few seconds and then it goes away, anyone else's 7800xt having the same issues, or have i got a lemon of a card and can i RMA it?

specs of the pc i just built

Ryzen 5 7500F
Pure Rock 2 FX Cooler
Asus TUF B650-Plus WiFi
Corsair Vengence 32gb DDR5 6000mhz
Asus Strix Aura 1000w gold
Sapphire 7800 XT MBA
Samsung 980 pro 500gb m.2
Corsair 3000d

Turns out the motherboard vrm was creating the wine, took the gpu out and the sound was still there, gone in and changed the vrm switching frequency from 300khz to 375khz and hey presto, no annoying wine anymore :)

Coil whine from motherboards how delightful. How did you change frequency.

headded into the bios under power/digi menu and found the option cpu switching frequency, the auto option was set at 300khz so changed to 375khz and the wine stopped, powered up and all good, i genuinely thought the gpu was the cause, i've had something like this before on much older boards but a new one, well :(

Thanks for the info It does make you wonder how many graphics cards get blamed for coil whine when it’s the motherboard.
