At 6.27% a 1.40% increase over last month pushed it into the lead.

Some other data compiled by Leonidas on NeoGaf

RTX cards are now over 46% of the chart.

All Nvidia 40-series cards already made the list. No new RX 7000 entries.

RTX 4060, 4060 Ti and 4070 were the current gen GPUs with the biggest % gains this month.

Current gen GPUs on the list include

RTX 4090 (3rd highest charting current gen desktop GPU)
RTX 4080
RTX 4070 Ti (2nd highest charting current gen desktop GPU)
RTX 4070 (highest charting current gen desktop GPU: overtook both the 4090 and 4070 Ti)
RTX 4070 Laptop
RTX 4060
RTX 4060 Laptop (highest charting current gen laptop GPU, most likely will become the first current gen GPU to make top ten in the list)
RTX 4060 Ti
RTX 4050 Laptop
RX 7900 XTX

RTX 40-series = 6.7% (+1% from last month)
RX 7000 = 0.2% (same as last month)

Good to see current gen GPUs gain ~1% on the chart from last month.

Isn’t the GTX1650 the actual top card? :D

Edit - my mistake, I must have misread it last time I looked. It’s the 3060?

I have no feelings, this kind of data is pretty much who cares it doesn't affect my life. It's mainly used to have fanboy vs fanboy arguments

Same goes for retailers who publish sales data and market share research, it's just used to fanboy
Well it does give lie to the line from tech reviewers that you have to buy the top tier card. It seems most people actually get a mid-tier (or below) cardz

Its not that , it's more people are paying for poor value cards so why would things get better , I skipped this generation because of it

Anyway looking forward looks like I'll be looking at the used market

It was last month. Its now only number 2!

Most PC gamers don't have massive budgets, especially in the rest of the world. Most of the cards are probably sold in laptops and prebuilt systems.

exactly how is it depressing. How exactly does an unscientific survey of GPU users make you depressed. I couldn't GAF what GPU other people use

because people are buying these poor value cards ?? super cut down ? while increasing prices ?? poor uplift in performance for value from prevoius generation ? with no competition why would it get better ?? anyway we have no idea the amount of sales but seeing 4060 and 4060ti gaining and being such poor cards doesnt fill me with confidence

What other people do with their money doesn't affect me. Only people that care about that survey are tech channels and numpty fanboys. It doesn't serve any purpose. I've never even done a steam survey.

The reality is that most gamers are not hardware enthusiasts, don't post on forums and and buy cards under £500(or systems with such cards) and keep them for years. A lot of those Nvidia cards are in prebuilt systems and laptops as most people buy prebuilt systems. AMD is not well represented in a lot of prebuilt systems, as its clear they simply don't produce enough volume for all markets anymore.

For instance I don't know anyone with in the realworld with a card better than an RTX3080! Most realworld gamers I know have something well under that.

This is why games such as Fornite,DOTA 2,CS:GO,etc looks so cartoony. They have to work fine on less powerful hardware.

In that LTT video, almost all of the $1500 prebuilt gaming systems from various US companies they contacted have an Nvidia card such as RTX3060,RTX4060 or RTX4060TI.

Gaming should be enjoyable and a distraction from what happens in the world, instead coming to this forum all you see is constant bickering, crying and lamenting about prices and which company sells more GPUs.
That’s what is depressing and not some Steam hardware survey.

yeah of course but when they wack on £1200 from the £649 3080 I think its fair enough to moan about it or shut up and just buy the 4090 ? :) and the cut down of the cards below it and while increasing the prices, but lets not moan about it and just buy

Yeah but at some point it just gets tiring and off putting.
BTW China’s economy seems to be collapsing so be prepared for more price hikes on GPUs and other things made there.

just ignore it ?
I dont think so just tells me we have people who understand what nvidia are doing instead blindly buying or even praising such company, I see you have the 4090 ? which is the best value card this generation  whats my upgrade path from the £649 3080 ? 4080 / 4090 ? 7900xtx ?

if people didnt moan we would have had the 4080 12gb

lets ignore the survey , I think it would effect me buying cards if people buy poor value cards and nvidia are fine with the margins, whats my upgrade path from the 3080 £649 ?

No competition from team red, that's why people just go nvidia. AMD just released the 7800xt at 4070 pricing, where is the incentive for gamers to go radeon? The market will stay as is until there is true competition. Something AMD cares little for in the discrete gpu space currently.
