Remaining 6950xts can be got in the high 500s and the 7900xt currently sitting at 800. Am I right in thinking performance difference is around 5%? Is there a big difference with power draw, heat and noise between the 2? Does the 7900 offer any additional features or benefits when run alongside with AM5 7800x3d?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 7900XT will be dropped in price to around 750 or if we are very lucky 700ish during black Friday. Don't buy anything now. It's all marked up in preparation for the big "sale". The 6950XT will most likely not become cheaper.

I wouldn't count on it. OcUK were the only company to be giving the XT big discounts a couple of months ago and the only XT discounted is the Nitro at £869.99.

According to tech power up it’s 15% wether it’s worth it is up to you. For me worth paying more for a quieter card.

At 15% performance lead 7900xt retail of 670-700 would make it very competitive. I don't usually look at the more expensive end of cards so no idea how big the discounts and sales offers are. Any predictions?

Given there was already a moment few months ago that you could get it at 700, I will be really disappointed if there is no BF discount close to that price.. already missed the boat on good deal on 7800xt.

£700 should have been the price the 7900XT released at, given we are now almost half way through the cycle it should be closer to £600 now.

Paying £800+ for one is madness imo.

A while ago I would have said the only decent time to buy a GPU, is when they're going EOL before the next gen comes on line, now it's halfway thru the following gen becuase there's so many cards left on the shelves.

But greed.

Yea I paid £699 for my Sapphire Pulse 7900xt with £60 of Starfield premium bundled in, turns out Starfield was a right turd but even so it's turning out to have been a pretty good deal. That was OCUK.

That was erm... end of July, I think?

I got the same £7900 XT deal and loved Starfield, so saved myself £65 for the deluxe edition. £635 for a 7900 XT 6 months ago seems like a bargain considering todays prices.

I'm in the same boat - jumped on the £699 7900XT deal with Starfield premium which, given the way prices have gone since, appears to have been the deal of the year!
