In the end, I went for the Hellhound 6800xt over Sapphire Nitro. Thermals sealed it for me. Got it for £530.00 including delivery, from a competitor. Although, I was so tempted to go for 6800 XT Sapphire Nitro that's on Overclockers at the minute.

You mean 7800XT? Was it a typo?
Oh, dear. Yes, a typo, indeed. :D

Anyways, I'm happy with the purchase.

I already had a system with Sapphire Pulse 7900 XTX, which I eventually sold at a loss. This time I decided not to lose my mind with the budget after initially eyeing up a 4090.

There is more fun and dare I say some romanticism in utilising scalability which we get in PC gaming, rather than getting something; setting and forgetting. Although, of course - this is undoubtably fun too.

Great news. Enjoy. I had a 7900xt which I used for 7 months and sold for £92 loss (£13/month ain’t end of the world). I wouldn’t have had to sell it had I not needed the cash flow…. Realised how much I enjoyed pc gaming so bought a 7800XT MBA for less (£499 from OCUK) after cash flow issues resolved and frankly don’t notice the downgrade at 1440p.

Is there any noticeable difference in noise and performance between Sapphire Pure + Nitro?

Does the Nitro block access to the M2 slots on the motherboard because its a triple slot beast?

Its really hard to find h2h comparisons

I would go for, most silent and cooling options
cards are pretty much the same either way

If you need decision criteria, silent and cooling, 3 fan cards are better than 2 fan cards for cooling and noise.
That may be true for some small pc cases but for mine (posted earlier) I have a 2 fan mba model which is very quiet (can’t hear it even with case fans on low rpm) and temps very low when undervolted and overclocked (max 75-80C under load).

Perhaps as I have 6 Case Fans as Intake and 3 Fans on AIO as Exhaust!
