Photoshop question

I have PS 2024. I have an image with text on and would like to change to the text. I can't just delete the text as it has background colours running through it, i also want to keep the specific font.

There are no layers to the image - is there anyway PS will allow me to edit the text?

If it's a flat image with no layers it's going to be pretty difficult that's for sure.

I've had a look and can't see anything about using the exisiting text - just removing/adding. I've tried clicking a load of options and although i can highlight the text - i can't edit it.

I'm not a PS pro

Can't you use the new-fangled AI generative fill to replace the area where the existing text is and then add the new text in its own layer?

Probobly going to have to use the clone stamp tool and remove it manually then when happy with the result place you own text over it with a similar font.

No, if it's a flat image you just have pixels.

Use either the Healing Brush tool or just the brush tool to "paint" over the old text.

Then you will have to identify the font and use the Text tool to type anew.

Font identifier websites are available.
