Barcelona Hotel Recommendations

Looking for hotel recommendations in Barcelona, near the center or beach, only need 2 days as leaving on a cruise, currently booked a suite at Miramar but having second thoughts due to some recent reviews.

Want a pool or spa, 4 / 5*, good access to the city.

Budget max £500 a night but spending less a night is clearly fine.

Anyone stayed at any of these?

Hotel Arts Barcelona
W Barcelona
Sofitel Barcelona Skipper
 
I've stayed at the Majestic and it's excellent.

I only stayed for one night but booked through my Virtuoso agent and got a great upgrade to a suite overlooking Passeig de Gracia.

Does look nice, i'm finding it hard to strike a balance between convenience for the center and a more "hotel like" experience.

Fair enough:p I’ve never stayed at a W but colleagues have and gotten annoyed at the noise. They are definitely party hotels first and foremost. Places to be seen.
