I've seen some comments that various AIO coolers don't fit this motherboard in the offset position due to enormous heatsinks on the motherboard.

Has anyone paired these two together? Would like to know if they're a good physical fit before slinging money on an upgrade.

Thanks!

not quite sure I'm following. Most coolers that are offset are air coolers where the cooler is offset to allow room for the ram, so then I could see the big heatsink for the i/o maybe interferring, but the artic aio, the cpu cooler/pump has the hoses coming out vertically from the pump head, not the side, so really take s less space than other pump heads.

One this that does make it hard, which I think is what you're referring to, isn't the pump head, but the extra thick radiator. Most rads are 27mm ish or so then you add the fans of 25mm. think the arctic rad is 38mm and then the fans, So this is more checking the space at the top of the case to the motherboard vrm heatsink, as in some cases, the extra10mm does indeed interfere with the mobo, and you can't fit the rad in the top of the case...some cases have a offset rad position so they sit further away from the motherboad...so maybe again the height of the heatsink might still interfere with the offset position

so to answer question, depends on the case you're putting it in, and where...top, need to measure...side won't be a problem

Ahhh! That's super useful. Hadn't occurred to me it might be about the case. Looking at the meshify 2 so will take a look.

Offset mounting: it's mentioned on the product website and even has a pretty picture. https://www.arctic.de/en/Liquid-Freezer-II-360/ACFRE00068B
ok, so from that pic, looks as though might be more to it.. trying to look myself now also.

Still check case though...that def an issue. don't think i could have fit that in my 5000x case...only had a mm or so clearance with the corsair aio in there, whereas no prob in the lian li evo..tons of space. reckon i could put a 50mm rad no probs if they ever came that thick

It's the vrm fan on the Arctic waterblock that can cause the compatability problem

Ooo that's a nice case. I have a hard requirement of not seeing into the case *on the left side*. The right side is facing under my desk so nobody sees it. Reverse configuration makes this case appealing

Even in front position
That 38mm rad can cause problems
Did my stepsons build with one
Meshify case though forget which model
With a very long gpu
It actually was blocked from fitting
By the AIO fan
Had to replace the fan with a 15mm one

Been having a look..even the arctic website doesn't say much..gives a bunch of intels boards that are now imcompatible, and saw a X670 tuf board where the block was overlapping some vrm's slightly and causing issues, but nothing on the b650 board.
My only suggestion..
1) Ring OCuk in the morning..they put these together all the time and should be aware of a problem..you generally have to wait a little as they can be busy, but they do answer and have been helpful with me in the past
2) get a different cooler..what cpu are you going to use

7800x3d. Was going to be a 7950x3d but got convinced that was overkill.

Not wed to this AIO. Currently looking at alternatives. Priority is quiet

running an arctic a35 argb air cooler on my 7800x3d...only time I heard it was doing a cinebench stress test...that was only air cooler i could get round here without having to wait 2 weeks for delivery..peerless assassin meant to be best bang for buck I think. 7800x3d really doesn't need massive ammounts of cooling(he says with 9 fans in the case. Bought it while I waited for the corsair link fans, butonce in, didn't look bad and had the infinity fans
