Is this when his house flooded?
Yeah, and he wanted to do a road trip across the US. Asking for viewers for money to buy a RV and whilst on tour, he could arrange meet ups etc.

I used to watch a lot of his videos, but I really went off him after the flooding/mold incident. I'm sure he had insurance and isn't short of a bob.

I see a few posts complaining that he pushes games he owns as hidden gems to jack the price up.

Not sure how you can really prove that

Unless he is the selling those games in mass quantities is there any point? I'm sure all of these content creators with a high subscriber count have an influence on retro software and hardware prices each time they post a video.

I do remember him e-begging for people to fix the leak/damp in his basement. Immediately unsubscribed
Haha, I remember that happening to him! Was wild. He got it fixed and then moved to a new house shortly after. Can only imagine he didn't have much faith in the repair! I don't remember him e-begging though? Did he just ask for cash outright?

+1 for Adrian's Digital Basement.

Has just the right blend of amateurish "looks like he kind of knows what his doing but frequently makes schoolboy errors, but clearly knows about some things, just not sure what exactly", hobbyish retro dismantling/rebuilds/repairs, often of stuff which has literally been left out in fields for years. It his is enthusiasm which carry's the channel, he keeps all his mistakes in, but it emphasises a feeling of honesty and genuine enjoyment of just tinkering with old computer gear. I started with his Amiga stuff but have since subbed and just watch all of his stuff as it comes now.
