Upgrade anything worth saving here 1440 gaming

Hi
its been a good 10 years since i did any pc building.

Use will mainly be gaming but not heavy duty system dependant latest stuff.

My current spec is
Z68XP-UD3P mother board
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series gpu
16 gig ddr3

My PSU is around 12 years old so i will need a new 1 and my monitor is even older so a nice new 27 inch 1440p would be good, and probably a nice case too.

i have a couple of ssd drives so they are still good

You could just add a GPU such as a 6700xt that would be a decent GPU for 1440p gaming but it would be held back by your pc.

What games do you play or want to play ?

Budget for upgrades if all new ?

That motherboard should support a Sandy based Xeon if you're on a tight budget.

The main reason for an upgrade is to get a new monitor, and that wont be any good with the graphics i have currently. If i could do a monitor GPU and PSU that would be good.

You could just do that and see then upgrade the rest if your not happy.
