In need of some advice plz
I have just finished installing my new 7800xt sapphire as my 2070 was bottlenecking my 7800x3d cpu.
The card runs like a dream with high frames and gaming feels so much better an absolute game changer but the problem is I can’t change the rgb colour of the gpu as it’s a mega bright red.
Just watched a unboxing video of this card and ther should have been a lead in the box that plugs onto the gpu and onto the board but mine is missing. The packaging was sealed upon opening the box and the plastic wrap was intact onto the new gpu still but I can’t stop thinking if this gpu has been used or not and why is the rgb lead missing?
Can’t name the vender but they are well known and trusted.
What should I do phone them up and say I have a lead missing or tell them I need a new card as mine has been tampered with?? Idk

You need the TriXX software I think...

I can’t change the rgb colour of the gpu as it’s a mega bright red.
In Sapphire's tech specs and in TPU's review of the 7700 XT Pure, they both say that the Sapphire logo is red. The Nitro has ARGB lighting, but the Pure appears to be fixed.

Sapphire's card comes with one lighting zone near the top edge of the card. A Sapphire logo is lit up in a fixed, non-adjustable red.

Just watched a unboxing video of this card and ther should have been a lead in the box that plugs onto the gpu and onto the board but mine is missing.
Can you link the unboxing video please?

Sorry I think you have misread what I have written or what i have written is not that clear to read.
Brand new gpu the box had plastic sealed tabs intact the gpu inside the packaging still had plastic wrap on the cooler but I believe I have a lead missing as I can not change the rgb colour of the actual gpu that’s fitted inside my case. Watched a unboxing video of this gpu and it seems that I have a lead missing that connects from gpu to motherboard in order for me to change the actual rgb colour of the gpu it’s self….
Brand new card and for some reason it looks like I have parts missing?? Or is this a 2nd hand card that a previous customer returned??would you be happy if you know the box has been opened and parts has been taken out?? What should I do? Contact the vender and explain I have parts missing or tell them I want a new gpu??

That has answered my question. I was thinking parts was missing from this gpu then I started to think this card was a return.
Thank you for this reply you put my mind at ease.
So I can not change the rgb on the actual card itself so I think it’s time to paint the glass windows. Thanks for the reply

Sapphire are one of the least likely brands to get a return, because unlike many of them, they physically seal their boxes.

Yeah, I'm afraid not.

Thank you for this reply you put my mind at ease.
No problem, it does get confusing with rgb stuff.

Recently built a PC for my son using this card. As Tetras mentioned the LED is fixed to red. There is however an on/off switch on the GPU if you wanted to disable it.

There was no cable included in the box, just an
anti-sag bracket and a few screws iirc.

Rather than paint the glass see if you can find the cable that controls the RGB on the card.

I am not a fan of rgb at all but I got a RTX 2070 S as it was a good price. Rather than install software to disable it I was easily able to find the cable that powered the RGB and just disconnected it. I looked around the edges of the card and was able to do this without taking the card apart or voiding any warranty stickers etc

The RGB cable was its own cable and not connected or tied to any of the fans on the GPU

It’s now 11.42am uk time. I was messing around with the pc until 3.30am Sunday morning and I have only just got out from my bed…
Is there a switch on this card I read above? I shall google this today and try and find it as I was on the verge of writing another post on a good spec case that will not show rgb lighting….
thanks for all the info and options on this card and it looks like I shall be flaffing around with it again today.

If you're looking down on the backplate it should be located in the cut out just to the right of the word 'Pure'. Think there is also some very small text highlighting the location of the switch too if you look closely. Something like 'led switch' or 'led on/off'.

There's a picture of it in the review, yes.

jello's instructions are on the money, it is located at the rear of the card, the furthest cut out (in the middle of them) from the blanking plate that you screw into the case.
