Bum Wash/ Bidet/ Washlet

Hi folks,

Has anyone got any recommendations on these?

Just found the exact toilet I want and it is £50 cheaper without a lid (£100 total). I paid £180 last year for the same toilet, so I am technically £80 up. That brings my bum wash budget to <£200.

I originally went Toto but can see they are like £1/2k+, and the Villeroy ones are also $lol. There are a bunch of no-names on Amazon that may be worth a go.

Has anybody got experience of the bumwashers?

I had a look and the one available is just a manual bum wash. This is OK but I came here expecting the full experience.

I went for the Vitra prime it’s lovely. Those toilet seat add on things are just a waste of time.

My budget isn't that high just yet - it's a bit of a perk for chilli bum and infinite wipe. Are you sure the washlet isn't worth it? Else I'll just get bum hose...

Yeh, I tried them first and just didn’t like them.

Bum guns are good but I had to upgrade when i redone my bathroom because the water is ******* freezing - I’d consider looping it off of the heating side if you can probably be super awkward to do it!

Yeah the heat is pretty epic. That's why I was thinking of an Amazon special tbh.

Tell me about it. Funny but totally true story, I went to China a few months ago to meet the CEO of a company. I was there for 3 days only. I had never used a bum gun before, and I just needed a quick whizz before the scheduled meeting. About 90 minutes later I emerge (I didn't even need a poo), with my colleague totally ****** wondering where I had been. I had been sitting on the Vileroy and Boch bum gun. I had it on female super blast mode with backing music. I did not care of the damage to my career.
 
Let's be serious, if you're not sitting on a heated seat then you might as well get a squatting pan and a hose pipe.

Totally true.

I do like a bum gun though.
 
Been married to an Arab, we had 2 installed when we moved in. I still find them weird but they are better than loo roll, I'm just set in my ways when it comes to wiping my rear. The good thing about using them in the ME is the water temperature, it's cold as ice here in the UK :p.

We just bought some bog standard ones from the rainforest (Handheld Bidet Toilet Sprayer Jet Kit Stainless Steel Shattaf Sprayer Kit Bathroom Personal Hygiene) and they work really well. Also double up as a good way to wash any sticky material inside the bowl..............

Why not just get a fancy Japanese toilet instead?
 
Interesting point about temperature, so you need a poo water mixer to ensure optimum temperature if going down the manual washer route.
