It's been a long time since I built a PC, I'm wanting a new build mainly for editing 4k drone footage, working with Photoshop/Illustrator and playing warzone.
I've been reading a little and have come up with the following spec.
What's your thoughts please guys? It's there anything here that can/should be improved? Anything OTT?
I may swap out the GPU for a 4080 super yet I'm undecided ATM need to see if my funds can stretch to it.
Partpicker doesn't show any compatibility issues.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,481.83 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Do you really need a pcie5 m2 ?

£200 on a aio cooler is excessive there are cheaper alternatives.

Nvidia GPU mite be better for GPU encoding with it's cuda cores.
Thanks for your reply

I chose pcie5 M2 due to speed, are there any other options with similar speeds which may be a better choice?

The speed will mainly be relevant moving large files from one fast drive to another., for the money you can get 2 pcie4 2tb western digital sn850x

Memory is another thing where you can save money, unless you need high MHz for the extra bandwidth then 5600mhz or 6000 MHz should be fine.

Below ar some alternatives.

MSI TOMAHAWK which I prefer over the pro, seasoning has a 10 year warranty .

Have to say I'm with @mickyflinn on this one, to see a build totaling nearly £2500 and for you to still only have a B-Grade 6900XT as your GPU, you're doing something wrong.

Extra sata and usb ports, but mainly the all black look and the Tomahawk have been the go to boards for some time.
I'll take a look at that thanks

I'm undecided on the GPU, as stated in the original post!

- Switch the 13700F to 13700 non-F, if available, since the integrated graphics can be useful.
- Switch the graphics card to 4080 Super when available.

The 14700 non-K / F CPUs are due soon, but the board in my spec does not have USB flashback.

Cooler: this.

There's an article here on the difference of RAM speed for productivity:

I think you've missed my point, it's not fact that you're undecided on a GPU, it's the fact that you're already at nearly £2500 and the build itself just doesn't really make any coherent sense, it just isn't budgeted very well.

That's why I'm here, for a 2k budget what would you spec? and why..

I helped a friend out a while back to streamline his business and the bottleneck was transferring the footage from his drones. Those hacks are now several iterations on and the drones contain NVME drives connecting over oculink.

You might find it’s the media within the drone that is the limiting factor.
