Ive got a 4090 Strix coming and at the moment I have an RM850x powering my 1080TI Strix As my 2080Ti died. I know that 850 won't be enough. But my mate is selling his Corsair RMx 1200 Shift. So I was wondering if that would be ok to power the 4090. I am concerned about the Type 5 connectors and the power draw 4090. Or should I look at a better PSU? If so what Range to look at? If I go with the Corsair I will have to buy all new custom cables again. With thanks.

A 1200w psu will be enough for a 4090 and 12900k although the shift series of psu's will not fit in every case as the cables come from the side of the psu and not the front as with conventional psu's.
