I bought insurance for 3 years for a washing machine from currys. I noticed it has ran out 6 months ago. Where can I purchase more cover from?

  1. Don't make the same mistake twice.
  2. Review your house and contents insurance policy.
  3. Consider the fact that your washing machine is worth next to nothing right now and additional cover will probably eclipse the current value of the machine.
  4. Just buy more insurance because LOL WHY NOT.
Take your pick there, champ.

Check your manufacturer warranty with the device. It might actually extend beyond the Curry’s date.

I always put money aside each month to cover appliance issues rather than pay insurance and have been fortunate in that it’s worked out.

Yet another UK rip-off scheme.

Are these rip off policies even still allowed in the UK? I used to work for DSG back in the early 2000's and the group got itself into quite a bit of bother for - I won't say fraudulent misrepresentation - but I thought that investigation and subsequent headlines in the UK Press put an end to these practices. Seems not.

i have the house insured for a mill (rebuild cost bad access) and the car for considerably less but that's about it ,they told me my Hotpoint would break me but tbh it has been great, iirc it was 5 years free warranty for just registering it

Why bother? It will likely be cost prohibitive at this stage. Just save the money towards a new one. It isn't like washing machines are particularly expensive

5 year parts but their labour is $lol

Hang on, are you actually talking about materials and rebuild? I know materials and labour have increased but that seems outrageous to me. I think my house rebuild cost has gone from 60k in 2009 to less than 120k now and I think even that is mental

It's a bit steep ,I think it depends on the surface of my tennis court and if I stick with the same size outdoor pool

I am.joking of course it's just a default amount edit , I just couldn't work out that cost maybe 500k but 1m was about £150 inc 50k I think contents

Top revenue earners don’t need this insurance. Just buy a new Miele when the old one breaks with change you find down the back of the sofa.

Once you have a Gucci belt, the entire world just bows in submission and it’s mission accomplished.

Edit: the comedy here just reinforces how we’re all being done over but OK.
