Has anybody got any experience in using one of these?

I'm getting a whole house water filter fitted but that can't be used for the drinking water and drinking filtered water is so much nicer on my kettle (not getting a hot water tap) so thought I'd get one of these in addition.

I currently use brita stand alone jug for scale reduction /ion exchange for kettle often 3rd party filters,
looks like those are just carbon filter, so, would be no scale reduction in our 300+ Cambs region - is that what you want ?

I use a BRITA P1000 filter that's just plumbed into my kitchen sink cold tap. Looks like that one you're linking is just a rebranded version of that.

It removes limescale plenty good enough, I use the water from it in my espresso machine and kettle.

I also use the Brita jug but that's a very good point this point has no scale reduction, I automatically assumed it being Brita would filter limescale.
I'm going to get the one @mid_gen recommended as that actually does scale reduction! But it's good to hear someone else actually use a big filter instead of the jugs.
