I’m pretty clueless when it comes to what to buy for a pc build , my current PC is about 8 years old and doesn’t run games very well anymore so I figured It would be a good time for an upgrade
I’m looking for something between £600 and £800 where I can get the absolute most out of it
I have access to a spare
Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6
PCI-Express Graphics Card
(It wont go in my current motherboard)
If you think that’s worth using rather than purchasing a different one
I also wont need a monitor , keyboard or a mouse as I already have those

What resolution is the monitor you have?

Which games are you trying to play that you can't?

What are the specs of the PC? Just so that we know what you'd consider an upgrade.

It is very much worth keeping. It is faster than a RX 6600 and that costs £200 new. Though, if you say that your monitor is 4K, that would be a different story, except... your budget won't buy a 4K gaming PC anyway.

I'm a bit confused, why won't a 5700 XT go in an 8 year old motherboard - I didn't think AGP slots had been used for at least 10/15 years.

e: What is your current setup?

the mobo probably needs a bios update tbh
i know some newer cards won't play well with intel sandy/ivy/haswell without having the latest bios
