This time last year April had generated 122.6kwh. This year for the same period it’s been 28.63kwh. That’s a dire start indeed…

Flux?Since the prices changed, despite one or two high generation days, I've not broken even once. The standing charge, lower payment amount. Bleh.
Yeah...Flux?
The standing charge is the killer. It went up 12p here and the unit rate for export dropped 2.8p and 4.5p on Flux during standard and peak. I normally force export in the peak window enough to cover the standing charge and about 1kW of non-cheap rate import which is our average. Its now taking 4kWh of export in the window just to cover this.Since the prices changed, despite one or two high generation days, I've not broken even once. The standing charge, lower payment amount. The new rates and standing charges are quite uncompetitive in my opinion.Yeah...
But what can you do? The valid and mature case that won't get listened to is that a higher standing charge is less effective at encouraging careful electricity use, as it's a flat cost that's unavoidable by being sensible with use.The new rates and standing charges are quite uncompetitive in my opinion.
