Can't see any posts for this.

I have put in over 51 hours. It's well worth a grab as it's very addictive and fun. It's a top down shooter with the main goal to mine resources and stay away from the nasties.

It's on Steam for £9.99 and has very positive reviews.

I like the look of it. And I am tempted.
But does it get a bit repetitive?
DRG is a bit repetitive! Depends if you like this kind of game and are happy to play alone. That's the real draw to DRG... This is a completely different game in so many ways, it may as well not share the name.
Not for me anyway..

It's a bit like a more nuanced Vampire Survivors, the mining and environments you're in mix things up quite well, as does the playstyle between the characters and classes.

I really enjoy it, good drop in and out sort of game for when you're short on time. I often play stuff like that while having downtime during the day, just pause and tab out when I need to do something else.

Bought it but didn't play it for very long... it just didn't grab me as much as other games from the genre...
Halls of Torment and Yet Another Zombie Survivors, for instance

Is DRG much different?
I’ll have to check it out.

Ok sounds good for a quick blast.
I’ll have to check out Vampire Survivors too.

Yet Another Zombie Survivors looks good, I’ll have to watch some of it.
Thanks.

I've not played this, but top down shooter which is single player.
Yes.
DRG is repetitive, but I find it fun because of the team aspect.
You still basically just shoot stuff.
Not saying this game isn't good. I've no idea really, but other than the name I'm not sure it shares enough to be interesting to someone who likes DRG and wants more.
For those, better to have more content in DRG, which I'd love because it can be fun.

This was on offer the other week for a couple of quid less. It's good fun to play on a hand held, with nice graphics and easy pick up n play fun.

1.0 released last week so I picked it up at a good discount (doubly so if you own the original DRG too, think I paid about £5.60 for it).

It's a fair attempt at these auto-shooter horde-survivor roguelikes and some good fun at a great price, but the problem is there are many games that are better in this genre which I'd recommend over them. DRG:S has very uninteresting choices and upgrades with not that much depth to it, and I blame being a spin-off for that as it tries to hold some truths to the original. I don't know if that will change with more unlocks as you progress, but I'm a couple hours in a few successful runs and all I've done is unlock new class/new weapons that all are true to DRG.

If you've already played Brotato, Vampire Survivors, Death Must Die, Soulstone Survivors, Halls of Torment, 20 Minutes Til Dawn etc. all to death, sure I'd recommend DRG:S because it's cheaper than a fish supper. Although Megabonk came out last week too and that's a better game too IMO, but may be too goofy and silly for some.

I'd not come across this until it came out of early access, picked it up at the weekend for what I thought was a very reasonable price and thoroughly enjoying it. I just wanted something I can pick up when I've got a spare hour and not have to think about too much, nothing heavy just fun, and it fits the bill perfectly.
I've played quite a bit of Vampire Survivors in the past and did enjoy it, but even though I know its not about graphics, I am enjoying something that looks a lot nicer.

Honestly this game is great, and as others said a nice easy pickup and putdown when you get 30-60mins and just pause when ever too anyway.

Some of the new features in 1.0 add a nice extra layer too.

Hazard 2 is kicking my backside. Seems like you really have to rush to get a gun to level 18 else you'll suffer on the boss damage by mission 3 or 4, managed 1 win so far and it was rather unspectacular and a bit of a struggle even then :p Or maybe you can farm a bit more meta progression from Haz 1, that'd work too but I just did all of the mission objs and moved on.

Think I might be too concerned about scouring the entire map for gold/nitra/rare ores when I should just be killing the big groups for XP? I've unlocked a small handful of stuff now and it's diluted things like the supply drop pool which is making the game harder too, so definitely need to try and find a new strategy.
