Actually not a bad idea if its able to scan a game project in development and make some actually useful suggestions to the dev.... That would be great.

For gamers.... it would have been better to remain an Aprils fools joke.

Imagen that, you pay more to play less. Guess nvidia has to use that extra die space on something. Wouldn't be surprised if there were an AMD lite version of this under way soonTM as well. I fear for the future of humanity when all adventure and curiosity is dead and buried replaced by an AI telling you what to do and when.

This would be incredibly useful for certain games, specifically the survival genre like ark as they have shown, means no need to alt tab out or grab my phone and look through various articles, reddit posts etc. in order to find out something.

And before people say, it takes out the exploring of the game and learning for yourself, games like ark don't give you any information whatsoever on how to tame certain dinos nor how much food you should give nor what kind of food and so on.

So it compensates for intentional ambiguous or simply bad game design, like games need more crutches lol.

Get gud.... :P

Seriously though, I think a big part of ark is finding it out for yourself.. plus their recommendation of spears isn't great, I'd say bolas are more useful early on, until you get up to bow+arrow... If you're lvl 94 and haven't put a single level in stam then that's on you (I'm also not sure if that recommendation was partly because the player was currently out of stam, seems a bit contrived :D).

I can really see this ruining the PVP game though, it could potentially tell you for example how many turrets they have, how much ammo and how many high lvl stegs you need to soak them (as the data is available client side).

I don't really see why it's so hard to alt-tab out and look it up on the wiki... or just find a server with awesome spyglass or similar enabled.

What I would really love to see, however, is LLMs (plus maybe AI text-to-speech) being used to drive NPC interactions, like what they showed a year or so back with the barman demo.... Like if it could offer unique dialog interactions in RPGs etc.

In a few years the AI will just play the game for you and the usual sheeple zombie fanboys will scream "OMG this is great such innovation".

More software rubbish to sell AI to gamers. Expecting DLSS 4.0 that 10x's fake frames next at this point for 50xx. Meeeh really the whole Nvidia computex presentation was boring as hell and nothing exciting apart from him screaming AI none stop for everything.

But you don't understand, You need AI for your AI so your AI can AI !!!

Isn't that the exact draw to games like Ark and sandbox games like it?

Ideally there shoud be something built into such games like finding notes throughout the world telling you what needs done or unlocks through levelling up but I just put that on lazy devs.... There is a great app/site which you can use that tells you the perfect tame food etc. but I much rather be able to just stay in game rather than alt tab/grab my phone, manually enter level, sex of the dino etc.

Either way, it's not like you're being forced to buy/use this, it's simply another option for consumers and of course, there is a lot of ways this could go other than just basically being a chatgpt for games. That last part especially could be a new way in the future to actually interact with npcs/game worlds through your own input and not the default game script.

Gamers nexus called it a 'meandering, pointless keynote', so less than impressed it would seem.
