I’m after something to stick in the attic room but as I don’t have much access it’ll need to be assembled in the room

Anybody got one ? What brand ? Any good ,comfy, etc

Also if there’s a sofa bed option for these

Preferably something reasonably priced as it won’t be used that often

Depends how much access you have exactly.
The ikea daybeds are pretty nice (take a full size single matttress) or 2 if you ever plan to use both sides.

Some of the IKEA Sofas are also flatpack (maybe most/all) so again they are pretty accessible, but you cant get away from them having pieces that are like 2m x 60cm or so.

Yeah we have a flat pack IKEA in the master bedroom , it’s ok but not that comfortable tbh

We could easily fit 2m up the stairs , just not as something assembled as the width would be restricted at the top of the first flight

Build it yourself? Just build a wooden frame, and then buy foam for the cushions and get them covered.

As much as I’m capable at diy that sounds like a recipe for disaster , the time , cost and effort to produce something that probably won’t be in anyway comfortable v doing some overtime and buying a sofa is no contest heh

The comfort is largely determined by the foam used in the cushions, so it's just a case of making a frame to support foam cushions. The arms can be wooden.

Yeah. I wouldn’t be DIYing either. Getting fabric sown for covers etc would be a fortune and you’d probably end up spending more.

Definitely do-able:

Do able but I would need to spend money on tools & materials then all the hours to put it together which would need to be done in the attic which is newly decorated and will be getting the carpet in soon,

Also that one in the video looks naff

Do you genuinely need flat pack as people are suggesting? Or is the access big enough that you could get a modular type of thing? (i.e. there's enough space to get a single seat section up at a time.)

Two old doors hinged together with screw in legs and a daybed mattress with some scatter cushions, sorted.

I could maybe fit a single chair up but it would be a risk

The top of the first flight of stairs has a sharp 180 degree turn but the ceiling (from the above flight) slopes down and doesn’t give a lot of headroom, I’d have to measure it and the size of what I intend to navigate up to the attic room
