Leashold reform bill. Passed into Law on the 24th of May

This is not surprising because Buy To Let was fuelled by artificially cheap Buy To Let mortgages. A lot of these BTL mortgages should not have been made in the first place, it is just the financial sector over-extending itself and getting greedy. The fact that property will be seen as a less attractive investment for the wealthy is a good thing, because a landlord's profit is a tenant's cost.
Nothung will change in our lifetime unless an incumbent goverment drastically change the law . It just won't happen as there are to may pension funds in play that profit from Leashold landlords .

Don't blame the player blame the game, My pension funds in the 80's and 90's tanked through financial reform, I let you guess who tanked that, so the only option was invest in property and thanks to flipping and making decisions that I controlled I've done well .

I've also eluded to how anyone can own property on here many times, it's just how much of a sacrifice you want to make to achieve it , yes theg will be big .

Anyhow you will be happy to hear I have 4 XBTL and I'll be selling all of them over the next 5 years , as long as I can get a retirement visa in south east Asia , I might have to marry the other half though to get that
