That'll do itdecided to go with a Corsair 1000W PSU.

is there a simple way of finding this out? I've been told a Corsair RM650 will be plenty for my needs currently, and half the price of the RM1000 (almost)try getting double for what the components are rated for

When gaming:PSU has gone bang I think so looking to upgrade, but this build (bar the GPU) is at least 10 years old, done me proud tbh over the years but need to look to bigger and better I think now.
- MB - Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI
- CPU - Intel Core i5-6600k
- GPU - Powercolour Red Devil 5700XT
- PSU - unsure on brand, but 700W is all I can tell you
- RAM - 8GB (2x4GB) unsure on brand (DDR4)
First port of call is to get it back up and running again
why?try getting double for what the components are rated for
Probably because psu’s are generally at the best efficiency at half load.why?
