Anyone experienced this? 12.5mm boards that have been sat in the packaging they were delivered in.

Shipped directly from Marmox but it was ages ago so probably too late to ask them what's up with them.

Is this normal? They're not the stiffest of boards...

Normally would be fine but I plan to dot and dab then so am unsure whether they will sit right.

How did you store them? They are not easy to bend and it usually happens same with other boards, they are not laid flat for extended periods of time.

Have you ordered the marmox multi board or the marmox tile backer boards?

The former is dual walled and much stiffer. I made this mistake with my first bathroom!

****, they've been stored upright since since Dec or Feb

They don't seem to be dual walled but the invoice does say multiboard.

They need to go on a brick wall, which isn't too bad but isn't plumb/straight. The old board was dot and dabbed so I was planning to do the same.

12.5mm marmox multi board will be fine to dot/dab and then mechanically fix.

Id just put the warped edge in your favour to make sense and/or prop the wall whilst the adhesive is cured.

I was going to start a different thread about dot and dab, I'm tempted to try what YT guy below suggests, which is to essentially do the dots first and get them level by using little shims on the adhesive (so you can put a level on the dot), let them dry, then dab the board on. This should give the board something solid to sit against.

The other question I have is around dabbing. Some say to dab all around the edge to seal in the board (which makes sense to me) marmox (limited) instructions suggest only a dab on each corner and one in centre.

Will also secure using dowels, yes. And some sealant between the boards edges.

Also need to prime the brick with some watered PVA apparently?

Id just knock 5 (or more! Dots on the wall then bang it plumb) sorry I don't have time to watch the YouTube. Remember the dots are only to level it and mechanically holding it will keep it tight to the wall.

Plasterers will do the entire perimeter of a board sometimes as I belive it's a firebreak thing (and they don't mechanically fix!)
