500 is crazy for a PSU which is only outputting 850w.. even the Asus 1600w is like £600.. beside being fanless what makes it so special
true and well don't most PSU now-a-days have a passive fan, where theyy don't start up till it reaches a certain temperature etc.Well, not a lot really, but a fanless 850w PSU is quite an achievement, especially with the long warranty.
That's assuming it will hold up against equivalent units, the likes of seasonic and corsair 850w units with active fan modes...which don't cost much more than a hundred quid!
I guess we will have to wait for real world testing from the usual suspects.
I suspect this passive model is more a proof of concept that 'it can be done' as opposed to the sort of PSU 99% of people will normally buy.
I mean you could buy something like this and use the money saved to buy better components elsewhere in your system.

That would be impressive.Spoke to Cooler Master about these, they have SFX variants to match which i'm super excited for! Imagine a SFX 1000w passive psu!
