Hey guys so me and the wife are in the market for a new vac , we have had a vax blade 4 for a few years now but sadly its on its last legs so thought what a good time to get some recommendations.

Corded or cordless? Budget?

Can’t go wrong with a Henry corded. Or get a Titan from Screwfix with some ear protection.

For cordless Shark are good but on the heavy side or Dyson if you’re a baller.

Dyson have the V8 on sale on their website for £225

If you actually clean the filters and look after them they are very reliable.

I had a V6 and now V8 and neither had a single issue, the V6 battery eventually wore out after hundreds of charges.

Looking for cordless and not a dyson can't stand them after I had 2 and both went in months budget £250

A bit leftfield perhaps but we've had robot vacuum cleaners for about 5 years now and wouldn't go back. We currently have a eufy X10 Pro Omni which is superb at both the vacuum and mopping elements. We then have a (corded) Miele C3 Complete for the upstairs (until we get another robot for upstairs) and the stairs. The C3 is the best regular vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, fantastic cleaning power and is really quiet compared to our previous dysons etc. We also have a Bosch Athlet cordless that lives in the utility room to quickly pick up crumbs or whatever in the kitchen area. It isn't good enough for a whole house clean IMO, but more than adequate to deal with little things without having to get the Miele out.

Having a robot vacuum the carpet every single day is pretty transformative - it always feels clean in the high-traffic areas in ways that a weekly cleaning with a regular vacuum just can't seem to generate.

Can't go wrong with the standard Dyson stick for tickling the house. For proper vacuuming I'd only use a Miele bagged.

The titan one I bought a couple of months ago is a lot quieter than the one it replaced, as quiet as a regular vac.

Henry can do water no ? or carpet shampoo with right head.

About 10 years into a Bosch corded pet and dog, as good as the Miele and pre Eu emasculation of corded machines ,
not so light weight, so mini workout. - 3m extension to get into the nook at top of stair well would be great addition.
e:octopus go was invented for machines like this.

I thought it was a gimmick, coming home to a hoovered home is a delight.

We had a shark for years, but really it's just not powerful enough. Also got a s5 robovac which does one floor.

Got a Miele c3 now and it's nice and powerful, nice to use and doesn't fill up or have filters clogged continuously.

another vote for the miele c3 from me. we've had one for years and they are great, very powerful for their compact size

Henry corded if you have several hours of vacuuming to do and can’t be dealing with emptying the vacuum every 30 minutes or waiting for it to recharge.

Be warned, even the 6L red and black plastic Henry is a chunky boy and takes some lugging/dragging around.

Tool storage is useless as well. I actually bodged some plastic 40mm pipe clips to the middle of the metal tube so I could have the round brush and crevice tools to hand.

Tineco is worth a shout

Had mine a few years, removable batteries and usuallly come with a spare etc

We've used a Dyson cordless for a number of years.
Recently switched to a top end Shark cordless (that is much cheaper than the Dyson) and finding it much better!

The Dyson is definitely better put together, but the prices are comparatively eye watering.
