What a crazy launch. I am so glad I cancelled my 285K now. I just hope my order at 14:20 makes the cut for the first batch, my indecisiveness at what ram to buy could cost me in waiting time (went for 6000 / 30 in the end and not the faster set I was eyeballing)

So do II run a business. While technically a consumer tax and they are the ones paying it not you....it's not fun handing over 20% of your takings every quarter to the government
Anyway anyone who bagged one for delivery this week you'll have to let us know how you get on while the rest sit twiddling our thumbs waiting on customs clearance.
I don't consider it takings though, just don't consider it as your money and put it to one side.

Its not a paper launch. Paper launch means there is no stock, There is stock its just stuck in customs, thats a Uk and Brexit problem palin and suimple. I think most predicted £450

I saw OCUK pre orders go live at 1:55 but held off hoping it’d be in stock elsewhere but then everywhere that had stock were above the MSRP so ended back at OCUK and ordered at 2:07
Turned out it was my credit card issuer that did me in, they security flagged the transaction to make sure it was me making it. Got it sorted with them and then they flagged it again when I was actually on the phone with them. Now I'm stuck waiting to get that sorted out before I can get the pre-order through.

This is why I always order through PayPal, although it may take a few seconds longer to process, but at least Bank never stopped transaction for verification, which takes even longer..

I clicked next day delivery too since it was like 3£ extra, in hope i get it quicker* Crosses fingers and hopes I'm in the first batch next week *
If I clicked Next Day delivery before 10:30am without reading the UK Customs message, can I have my shipping money back?
Work from home day for myself, bank and retailers hate my office VPN so wasnt going to risk it
Noob mistake. Always be logged in early, know your password just in case (auto fill even better) and have an empty basket.
FOMO is just too stressful!
I'd say it was all easier in days gone by but at least people don't have to queue up at stores these days. Showing my age here.
