Hi. I am planning on building my kid a gaming PC around my old 2070 super RTX. I've got a spare 1Tb M.2 and want to use a Lian Li Lancool II Mesh C RGB case because looks are important! ;)

But I am out of touch with what else to put in there. Obviously with a 2070 it isn;t going to be much more than an entry level system so how should I build it? I am thinking of a Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, maybe with a B550 Mobo? What RAM would be worthwhile? And what can people suggest for a PSU and a cooler?

Any suggestions very welcome.

I want to keep the price reasonable. I realise these are components that are unlikely to offer a decent upgrade path so not much point in spending a bundle. Around the £3-400 mark should be enough?

A 750W PSU looks like total overkill? 550W max, surely?

You should reconsider the case there are plenty of pc cases around the £50 to £60 mark that are nice and the extra money you could put towards something else. Your not to far an AM5 build .

I consider a PSU an investment for the future and one of the annoying things about decent PSUs nowadays is they start the range at 650 or 750.

The AMP GH has an 8 year warranty, supports ATX 3.x/PCIE5 for current (and future) nvidia CPUs and they're usually a reliable brand.

You could go with a bronze PSU like Corsair's CX550 or Bequiet System Power 10, but the warranty is only 5 years on these and there are some corners cut on the parts and performance to meet those price points.
