Will be staring my build shortly after 14th december...

I have already got the following hardware in house ...

9800X3D
Asus x870e Hero
2000w 8Pack Psu
4090 Strix Oc
G.Skill Neo Trident RGB 2x24gb 6400 C32 1.35v
----

I cant wait to swap out my old 5950x + Godlike X570 + 4x8gb T.Force Xtreem 8pack memory cause those components are like 4 years old now...
still a good system but im wanting to move away from am4 to am5..

my main question though is will the system boot up into bios even if the firmware is not fully compatible so that i can flash bios to latest version...
cause i have never used that flashback method before and if i have to do that way to update firmware on motherboard can the cpu still be in the motherboard ?? to do this lol cause i will be using a velocity2 waterblock..

Umm possibly, its hard to say, it all comes down to how long the boards have been sat on the shelves or if they are fresh new stock, but USB flashback is nothing to worry about, its dead easy to use, and yes you can build the system fully, see if it posts and if not then use the USB flashback, I use it all the time when I try out ASUS beta's, if they are buggy then I use USB flashback to roll back.

I did post somewhere else about 1 small problem I had when trying to do it on my Mrs ASUS B650E-i, it wouldnt read the USB stick, the light on the back flashed a couple of times and then went out, it turned out I had to format the USB stick to MBR FAT32 instead of GPT FAT32.

Yes, built a PC with this combo last week, updated bios after but it posted fine on the 'stock' one.
