how do u plau call of duty 1 in widescreen?

well just got new monitor but it wont let me play at 1680x1050 which is annoying. so how u get round this?
 
You can't properly, the only way was to stretch the screen.

There's a website that tells you all, but I cannot thing of it just now. Let me have a butchers.

well just tried it and i think im thick :p cant get it to change just keeps saying unknown command :mad:

im putting in


/r_custommode 1
/r_customwidth 1680
/r_customhieght 1050
/vid_restart

can anyone spot anything that im doing wrong cause its doing my nut it.the only one that seeems to work is the /vid_restart.
 
Edit: didn't read whole post.

Are you putting it in the config.cfg or in the console? You should be doing it in the config.cfg and, iirc, the lines are already there, you just need to change the values.
 
seta r_customaspect "1"
seta r_customheight "1050"
seta r_customwidth "1680"

Thats all I used for UO not sure if its the same but worked for me.

+ I made the file read only as the game would just set it back to a default res if I went in to the graphics options.

arghhh dunno what im doing wrong edited the cfg file with my hieght and width and fov restart game after saved and i join game and its 1280x1024 :mad: cant play at that settings cause it looks like shizzle.

smoogel would you send me your config ill try swopping it with mine see if that works u got xfire
