Linear story driven FPS are the best.
Half life is the best for me, no question.
Portal games are special too.
Tried Borderlands, after 19.5 Hours. there is no story, so no point in running all over the place just doing stuff for the sake of it. I havent gone back to it once i realised it was going nowhere.
I tried titanfall 2, i lost interest, i need to go back to that actually.
COD MW2 campaign irritated me a lot
COD MW3 campaign, i really enjoyed it. Neither of these COD games are worth it for just the campaign, i play loads of multiplayer. I dont mind a short game, but i'm not paying sixty quid for it.
Metro games are good. I actually enjoyed Xodus the most, less frustrating than the other games.
I'm 46 now and havent really played much until recently, so i'm hoping to find lots of old gems to play. i find first person must more involving and immersive than third person... i cant see the fascination of all these third person games, i guess its easier with a controller.
I'll probably go back and play all the half life games again soon as gameplay and story is much better than fancy graphics and doing random missions in a random order.
