oh absolutely, my 2 shares will skyrocket for a while.

But the US needs Intel to work, so not sure if the grown ups left in the room (there can't be many) will have a say in his involvement.

Mmm interesting as this stock has been mentioned a few times (including me) before the 9 percent spike and I know I am.the definition of dumb money :p but could we make some.money out of this considering it's still cheap (?) earnings due, chance they turn things around even if. The rumours come to nothing ? My s&s ISA is itching for some action but if I do buy it's the kiss of death, just saying .
Tomorrows pre market may give a clue

I'm presuming it sees a bounce as soon as they appoint a new ceo.

one of the interim ceos said

"I'm not in the process, but I'm guessing that the CEO will have ... both some capability around foundry as well as on the product side," Zinsner said at the UBS technology conference, adding that Intel's core strategy remains intact.

quote from December from exec vice president
Chandrasekaran said Intel's progress on the 18A advanced node manufacturing process was going as expected and has met several milestones despite facing difficulties and technical problems.
"There's nothing fundamentally challenging on this node now. It is about going through the remaining yield challenges, defect density challenges," he said.
Intel plans to provide samples of chips made with the new node to customers in the first half of next year, and start to ramp the production at its Oregon plant in the second half, Chandrasekaran added.
first 18a customers manufacturing is supposed to start early next year.
it will probably be e 2027 before foundry is making any money

No one really seemed to like the old CEO anyway and annoying he was getting silly amounts of stock compensation etc

I did actually average down...but then got spooked so I sold up.

I still hold a few shares that $40 ranges...not sure they will make it that far :D

Bringing fabrication to the US partly due to a seemingly anti-foreign business plan for the next 4 years at least. I can't see that Intel won't go up, but yeah not sure if doubling in that time is going to happen.

Basically I'm looking for massively over reacted drops now.
Where the business is very profitable but some scandal is occurring but priced in.

Most memorable time this happened was when BP had it's deep horizon blow.
Sp tanked but the company was still profitable.

In this hyped market that's what I'm looking for at the moment

The figures for close brothers stand out

But need to research if the scandal. Is fully priced in.

Close. Brothers popped today.
Need to read why. Maybe some progress/positive news on car finance scandal.

15pc up on my buy price.

Space stocks popped nicely with Trump's comments, glad I topped up on Friday when they crashed :D
yea RKLB +21%
LUNR 17%

I only have 20 rocket labs and 21 lunr shares :(
been holding rocket for ages and slowly topping up on any drops, was planning to do the same with lunr.

I dropped my INTC shares from 100> 60 so I only hold £1000 worth.
I think if it goes under 20 again I will buy more.

I reckon Trump sees american fabs as important, it's basically like soft power to control chinas development in AI and maintain an advantage for USA and its allies.

Computer chips in any big war is going to be like steel in ww2, countries need to start seeing it as a resource
