Got to love this memory even if you don't like the platform I'm currently running it on core Ultra 265K from base setting I can overclock this to 8000Mhz @ 38,45,45,45,115,639,2t super stable, There may be a little bit more in it, maybe 8200 but then then timings need to be loosened so did not see the point.

Any one else got this memory?, What did u manage to get out of it?.

Great sticks got a used pair on ebay for a steal a while back. Put them on waterblocks and managed 8200C36 on an Apex and 8000C36 on a z790-i Strix.

Managed 8400 C36 Timespy runs on the z790i too, far from stable though.

Regrettably I sold them on.

i recently got the same cpu/ram combo, still playing around but good to see it being done. i found my system to be a bit sluggish even with xmp 200s boost enabled.
8000mhz didnt post for me last time i tried but that was with undervolting, on auto/xmp it would probably run.

I've got the same CPU and RAM, haven't had chance to build it up yet, awaiting parts.

What was happening to make you think it was sluggish? Thanks.

coming from a 13+ year old build 4770k on windows 10, this is now a fresh build on windows 11 and it just isnt as snappy to use around menus and launching programs, boot times are slower too.
boosting the ngu, d2d further than 200s boost has somewhat fixed that, i have not overclocked for over a decade so getting my head around some things still.

still have the old system and its so smooth to use for general use.

Do you think a lot of that is down to a different Windows version? Windows is very bloated these days.

yes i should have said, definitely windows 11 plays a part, iv debloated as best i can.
but the simple and most basic of task like slower boot and opening programs etc just doesn't feel as smooth.

not pointing the finger at the hardware as everything is of course a much better spec than my old pc, i just need to find what works

Thanks for sharing, I'm hoping I'm not going to have the same issues, I've just upgraded hoping to get a snappier system, won't be too happy if it's the reverse

well i hope so too, would be good if you could report back when you get it running, then i know if im maybe doing something wrong or if this is just how it is.

had a little play around, managed to get 8000mhz to stay stable at 1.42v, with the latency at 40 all other timings on xmp.
the highest i could clock on stock xmp values was up too 7600.
dont really want to push it further although it probably could with timings and higher voltage.

just to put your mind at ease, the pc is running fine and is much more snappier and responsive.
i had windows in power save plan like a fool which was affecting latency, balanced is plenty for me after playing around with a few tweaks this week.

so you should be fine with your new setup once you build it.
