Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Some going on FB marketplace for £180 still if you're quick :o

The 700 S3 series are not the same as past B&Ws bear in mind as you get 800 series trickle-down features, I auditioned several speakers in store and these felt the closest to what I like about the KEFs with more modern tech for better details in voices and strings especially.

TIDAL yes I use tidal exclusively with a laptop+usb/bit-perfect dac at home - and would abandon it if exclusive mode went away,
nonetheless I think the quality of the Tidal masters decreased with the reduction in prices, and maybe they even have generic streams rather than ones that should
belong to some album/date/master you think you selected.
Absence of EQ in tidal app at source, still means that in the car w/car-play I get better sound using home ripped cd/lp played back with vlc/foobar (need a audison/helix dsp-amp / pools win)

Tidal is still converting all of their MQA files to FLAC so this will take time, it was only a few months ago that MQA went under and Tidal before that relied on MQA for "lossless" which was a marketing scam by MQA as none of the PR speak lived up to the task - It may well be that you preferred the MQA encoding as it contained dirty data but to my ears in a bit-stream setting no EQ seems to be needed for the true hi-res streams (High/Max tracks) - The tracks still in blue show as FLAC but they could still be MQA as haven't been swapped to FLAC yet, although many tracks on Tidal still have both formats between albums until everything is FLAC only.

You can just use EQ on your car's stereo though surely? My stereo has a 15-band DSP for EQing which is necessary as the car's amp is from the year 2000 gen of amps, so not great, bypassing it with a proper DSP on the stereo to EQ is necessary regardless of what streaming service is being used.

New handlebars and grips. I'm now turning this into what was once quite a cool looking bike into a hideous monstrosity

A cheap new saddle and some pedals for my 30 year old mountain bike. Some friends are doing a bike ride later this year, so I decided to make it roadworthy again to see if I actually enjoy riding before committing to it.

I would check what sort of ride it is because you might find you don't enjoy it much on that bike. Things have changed a lot in the past 30 years and what used to be considered quite challenging is now super tame because modern mountain bikes are so capable. Big knobbly tyres, 29" wheels, dropper posts, low tyre pressures for grip.

That's still fine for tow paths and around town bike. I'd upgrade from awful canti to decent V brakes

Problem you have with things like that though are you spend £50-100 on new brakes and you could probably spend the same on a new (used) bike which would also upgrade an awful lot more. Unless you can find parts very cheap and are capable of doing the work yourself.

After reading reviews, I went with the Deathadder Hyperspeed.

Maybe it's a placebo, but I did feel like I was playing better with this thing!

Great Mouse! What do you think to the Scroll Wheel, is it up to your satisfaction?

Hyperspeed Marketing is questionable from Razer but I still think it has been selling like hot cakes… calling it the Deathadder Pro Mini would make more sense IMO.

I have the Deathadder v2, I don't game on it really, relegated it to a basic use. I like the features, like the 2.4ghz dongle can be stored inside under the top cover. But I feel the build quality, the use of plastic to be a bit on the cheap side. Compared to the Apple underside down charging mouse, with it's aluminium base and a rather thick acrylic top, it FEELS premium.

I wish there is a premium feeling mouse on the PC side.

No, it's the one thing I would change... I mean, I'll get used to it and use the HOME and END keys more now I guess.

And this is what I went with the Hyperspeed. There is no way I need the specs of the top end (like using an F1 car to go shopping...), and a review I read said most people don't, most should be happy with the Hyperspeed. That kinda sealed it for me.

I understand why this would be thought. Generally people equate weight with build quality (I know I often do) and this is meant to be super light. Tbf, it feels well made though, with no creaking or groaning if you apply pressure. The clicks are quite firm and defined etc.

Really - What don’t you like about it? :(

Every element of a Mouse is so subjective! But hopefully if you aren’t happy you can return and find a more suitable one.

Finding the perfect mouse isn’t the easiest task

That looks similar to my old Kona (1998) Lavadome. The only thing that remains original are the handlebars, frame itself and v-brake blocks. Everything else got changed or busted. In the end it had mavic titanium wheels, hope hubs, hollow tech II bottom bracket+cranks, XT set (front and back gears+deralliers), SPDs, new seat+post (bent), and mazzochi Z2 BAM light oil shocks. I even have the same cow horns (protected hands from a number of bangs).

If you're going on a ride just shove it in for a service - a new chain and new setup break blocks will go far to freshen the feel of it without spending an arm and a leg.

I know PC/gaming mouse are aiming for as light as possible side of things, and if you want weight, you can add actual metal pieces inside them. Like the Logitech G502SE Hero (which I have). But I must admit a of the styling of them are not to my taste, like I would hate to have holes across the top, I know they do it for weight saving, and then the build quality too...some of them with glossy black piano plastic.

I have all 3 of these and I still use the Apple Magic Mouse....

Finally it has arrived, no customs duty for once (shipped from NL). Aiyima A80 DAC/Amp with OPA828 dual OpAmps:

Nice to see they didn't cheap out on the components or design, external power supply is 48V 5A, so the amp gets rather hot

Where did you get your keyboard/mouse mat from please?

There are! but the ones that obey good ergonomics cost like £200+ Razer do the new Signature Edition in white and black, Magnesium shell, Pulsar do the Feinmann which is also Magnesium, the one I got not long ago, it's cheaper than the Razer but it's still ~£200. Another way of looking at it though is that it's a mouse for life, will never wear as it's a metal, super lightweight and has the specs to last many years for any use so really you won't need to "upgrade" such a mouse every few years so the initial cost covers that notion.

There's something rather pleasing about coming back to the desk and holding a cold magnesium mouse which warms to body temp.

Somewhere around here I did make a thread about it. With my G903 it had two modes. One was clicky wheel. Good if I was using the wheel to change weapon in an FPS. The other was free spinning mode, spin and get to the top/bottom of a page/email in a second. This one only has clicky mode. I had a different logitech that had clicky, but if you span hard it went free wheeling. That's the only reason I'm wondering if I should have stuck with Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2.

Try needing one that's left handed too, even fewer choices - Razer used to do a DeathAdder and a Razer LH edition, both were decent for about a year or so and then started to die, got a fairly cheap Logitech one which is built for left handers at the moment, but they're not great. Split my time between uncomfortably using a MX Master 3 and this now, would give anything for something premium and heavy and left handed.

I see!

I’m not aware of Mice which have that feature or that advertise that feature, the GPX Superlight 2 acts the same as Razers Scroll Wheel.

Can’t you adjust Windows to up the Scrolling distance :D
