Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I would check what sort of ride it is because you might find you don't enjoy it much on that bike. Things have changed a lot in the past 30 years and what used to be considered quite challenging is now super tame because modern mountain bikes are so capable. Big knobbly tyres, 29" wheels, dropper posts, low tyre pressures for grip.
The ride is the South Downs Way in July/August time, I think its classed as "cross country"? If I was to take part I would probably look at getting something newer.

Any recommendations in the <£1000 bracket would be greatly appreciated

How long are you doing it over? At that sort of money I would go second hand simply because you can get some cracking bargains under £1000 whereas a £1000 brand new bike won't be anywhere near as good. There might be some great deals on new bikes to be fair as the bike industry isn't having such a hot time after the COVID boom.

Perhaps best to ask in the Pedal Powered forum

You said earlier it was like my hybrid Logitech.

Hence I was wondering if I should have got that...

If you spin hard one way, does it actually spin or stop dead?

Sorry - What I meant was when used at speed those subtle notches can’t be felt but it still needs to be scrolled manually, just that the notches are so subtle when scrolled fast you can barely feel the notches.

Think the term is “Hyperscrolling”

Seems the G903 that you have is one of the few Gaming Mice with Hyper Scroll ability otherwise it’s a Productivity Mouse.

Give this Tapo stuff a go + unseen lugs for Wago boxes.

Wireless fast charger pad to DIY the coil into my existing custom car charger bay as Pixel phones are super picky about what wireless charger is used. This one works perfectly even if the phone moves it seems and the motherboard is away from the coils so doesn't heat up as much.

Now need to figure out the best way to DIY it into this :D

Problem with the Tapo bulbs is there is no way to dupilate the same colour across more than one bulb at a time apart from the few preset ones. The colour picker doesn't let you ender a hex code or anything.

I assume you have to remove the original coil etc?

Yes the original coil is just screwed under the panel you see in the last pic so easy to get out and swap with this one.

Not a problem for us as we just require the basics, with the two lamps fitted either end of a Lack shelf and above the bedroom TV these will probably only have occasional use and that will more than likely be a sky blue.

That would be an instant return from me, makes the premium on Hue bulbs all the more worth it.

Again if that is what you are looking for then there is nothing wrong with that and we did buy into Hue in a big way, but found we hardly used them other than white and they turned out to be an expensive experiment.
Now we have settled for a mix of Smart bulbs, Smart switches, Cob LED and a limited amount of basic colour bulbs, which for us means the money saved over buying Hue means I can spend on other things :)

For me it's the per app customisations for the buttons that I like, looks like and it seems this is only properly possible on logitech so I may be stuck with an MX for productivity forever lol

Firefox has specific button mappings, media player classic etc.
Im stealing that copy/paste idea..never thought of that one lol

Yeah it is one of those features that once you have it then no other mouse feels right when using those productivity apps. I now navigate and manage files exclusively using the mouse now in Lightroom and that has made my workflow a lot more efficient as a result of not having to use keyboard combos to do the same things in specific apps like this.

I just hope Logitech update the polling rate on the MX Master 4 as that would make it perfect.

A laser "tape" measure.

Checked it's accurate by measuring a keyboard vs what the kb's spec says:

This is fine.

New earphones for the gym. The Powerbeats Pro have been the only earphones I’ve liked in a while, but they had a design flaw whereby the moisture would get trapped in the charging contacts, due to them being concave.

This resulted in them corroding and hampering the ability to charge. Happened to multiple pairs before the warranty ran out.

Hoping these are better, as the Beats Fit Pro haven’t had the problem :-)
