NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Things could be worse.
In the US not only are retailers scalping they are only selling cards in bundles.

If you want an MSI 5090 you also have to purchase their ultra high end PSU at the same time.

Here you dont even get any extra crap thrown in, no keyboard/monitor/psu/mouse/headphones/motherboard. Just full scalper price and a 10gram packet of haribo

I'd take the two things soldered together if it stopped the 12vhpwr from melting

Seems clear that most of the GPU and memory package (Nvidia supply both as a 'kit' for each card) are being used towards FE this generation.

TBH I hope there are only FE cards for the 6090, the retailers deserve to miss out after what they did this generation. That seems to be the way Nvidia are heading - IMO eventually they'll only sell you a GPU if you buy a pre-built from them.

Doubt it will be a modular/component style PC either, just a Nvidia box with no upgrade potential. £5000+ for the top end card each generation with top of the line CPU sounds like a good deal for Nvidia.

I dunno Nvidia are to blame too, they launched the 5090 knowing that there was going to be extremely limited stock. If Nvidia actually had stock, and hadn't messed AIBs around before launch then this situation could have been avoided. Distributors and retailers only got the power to do this because of the lack of stock.

It has still been less than 3 weeks since the ‘launch’ - when it’s >1 month with no ETA I’ll be a bit twitchy, >2 months I’ll be aggy :)

I think some have gone out previously as people have posted in this thread about it, but not every single AIB. Some just haven't had drops, like I've not really seen gigabyte or zotac 5090s yet.
There were gigabyte aorus masters at another store this aft for £3150 - gone in a minute

From what I've seen, certain AIB cards are completely AWOL, at OCUK and competitors. I've not seen a single Palit Gamerock OC 5090 anywhere (though a few of the non-OCs have flowed through). If there have been any PNY 5090s, they haven't shown up on any of my alerts. Inno3D 5090s are similarly non-existent (pity, as I've really liked my Inno3D 4090).

Anybody that has a preorder from the other place if you get an email saying to get it you have to cough up another 500 quid will you accept it or tell them to shove it?

If they do add anything to my pre-order I will look into it and most likely take them to small claims court.

However they are likely to win, as I never took screenshots of every page during the purchase and have no proof that it wasn't there.
Its going to happen i think they are all ready regretting offering them for lower than other retaliers and they might think they have missed a trick.
