AMD 7900 xtx out of stock.

New 7900 XTXs selling just a month ago for under £800 seems a distant memory at this point.

I started last generation with a 7900 XTX MBA which got sent back due to the vapor chamber filling issue. I then got a 4080. A few months later, I changed again to a 7900 Red Devil. I finally ended up wirh a 4090 Strix.

In retrospect, I should have just stuck with the Red Devil as it was the best card on balance of the lot.

4090 Strix is some card.

It was exceeding expensive to provide (what I felt) was marginal improvement.

As for the astetic package, I had the Red Devil special addition which had the necronomicon case. It was one of the coolest-looking graphics cards I've owned.

I get you. just googled that Red Devil card, wow, that is pretty cool!

If I get a 9070xt this round, I'm definitely looking to get the Red Devil special edition. I'm not usually taken by the look and extras when shopping for a card, but tye 7900 xtx package felt like a colletor's edition game from the early 2000s. It just needs a cloth map and pewter figurine!

Haha, I’m surprised it didn’t! Would look good with a little Warhammer devil sitting on top of it!

In stock:

More models due this week, sold 100’s in last couple of weeks on XTX.
That's good news.
I'm going to get one next week.

Speculation about power draw: I saw one card with 3 8 pin plugs. Started to wonder why 3 plug? Must be for unreasonable power draw.

The 7900xtx sapphire nitro plus version I have can draw 450watts. However you can easily get that down to reasonable levels with some very easy tweaking. For hardly any performance loss. In some cases it’s faster.

That is the one I have, some card!

I would like sapphire. But no stock.
Was looking at pulse or nitro.
Let's see what next week brings.

Also I saw 9070xt with 3 8 pin connectors.

AMD do seem to over juice their cards. Simple under clocks do the trick.

@Benass

Owned RX 7900 XTX MBA/Nitro+/Red Devil/Merc.

Best if using air cooling go Nitro+.
Best looking was Red Devil IMO and not a slouch even if Power Limit less then Nitro+/Merc.

Merc best price was around Oct/Nov 24, could be had for £678 to £716 delivered. You can still get it for £840.

lol this is kinda true.. I am gaming on my RX570... at like low-ish settings 1440p at around 50-80fps depending on the game. You can dial down the graphic settings and it wont take anything away from enjoying the actual game. I've also been gaming a lot more on my rog ally portable handheld - again, everything running mostly on low settings to get a minimum of 60fps and games aren't any less fun. *contemplates the pc gamer ultra quality settings life*
Doubt my temp 980ti wants to play another session of Cyberpunk though. But now that we are on the subject, kinda curious how bad it would be heheh

These used to go for £680 to £720 ish on quite a few occasions over the last 7 months or so. Now they're going for £900-£1000. Hilarious pricing.

And with a card about to come out that will be better overall (apart from vram) and (hopefully!) much cheaper.

I've said it a lot in other threads but I don't know where all these people have come from? As you point out, they've been readily available for ages at around £700 and didn't sell out , so why is there a sudden influx of buyers willing to pay £1000 for them? Same as the 5000 series as well really. The 4080 super could have been had for around £800 most of last year, yet people are now prepared to pay £1400+ for a card that is only 10-15% faster.

Gibbo stated This is the last and final shipment ocuk is getting of these cards, and I dare say it's similar at most if not all retailers

Fomo is a real thing,
