Fence painting season is upon us. I'm still trying to decide what colour to paint my fences on my new build. Or if I can be bothered. :o

It is indeed.

Light brown or dark brown, pick one! anything else is wrong...

EDIT... in all seriousness... ...if its a new build I'd put something on it... I wouldn't trust a new cheap fence on a new build to be treated properly, the fence will be built as cheap as physically possible!

I did mine and regret it, takes ages, doesn't look better really, needs redoing and CBA doing it so it looks tatty. Meanwhile neighbour who did nothing looks much better. Developers skimp on concrete post bases so what actually ends the fence life is the wind. I see no evidence that painting the fence actually protects it even though the advertising says that.

We did our black and it looks awesome. I agree that it takes ages and I have massive CBA abotu redoing mine.

I also had the problem with the wind though. Weirdly, it wasn't that the concrete in the bottom was lacking, but instead where the posts left the earth that bit rotted.

Asked a good friend to make a plinth for my Whisky in my garage, came out amazing. Scottish Oak, solid beast. Need to buy more Whisky!

This is just the drinking one, I try and keep the better bottles out of sight :)

Love it. Over 1.8m wide, three tiers with the edge left, looks so good and weighs a ton

Simple, cheap, but sound soldering hotplate from Aliexpress. Just £35 I don't know how they can make a profit. Anyway, checked it electrically and it's ok - everything grounded well. It is missing the small calibration screw that is on older versions (it's a years-old design). Run it up to 350degC already to check it out and it takes a few mins to heat up - and an age to cool down!
