*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I doubt you need to upgrade if you can get those frame rates at 1440p. Though I doubt saying that will ease the FOMO as in reality my 6600XT is still mostly fine for the stuff I play, but whilst I am resistant to this hype crap I'm not completely immune. Still, not as bad as those that cream themselves over DLSS so that they can play at 4K on their 1440p monitors.

Can get 146 fps at extreme settings native in MW3 and 134 fps in BO6.

Also about 70-80 fps in Avatar at Ultra FSR Quality setting.

But I have tweaked it in Adrenaline to get another 10-14% out of it depending on the game.

I will be missing out on FSR4 if I don’t upgrade but not sure how widely it’s going to be implemented to be useful in games (also whether it is actually needed- in my case 100 fps at supreme in Indy Jones is great and no need for upscale).

I’m conflicted and very confused at the moment.

Apologies if this has been answered already, but are we going to see Overclocker prices before release day? and what time do they go live on Thursday?

on a 7800xt I would skip this and only upgrade when performance dictates

I smell something off here. Only 24% fan speed yet memory is still within spec for temp. Sure its a bit toasty but nothing wrong considering some memory configurations has to reach 110c before throttling. So whats the problem? Seems to me someone is trying to create some fake drama.

Look at the GPU core clock avg compared to VRAM. The VRAM is running maxed out but the core clocks are at stuck at base clock with zero boosting (left screen). The screen on the right shows lower than game boost clock and only 25% fixed fan speed (right screen)

Someone is taking those screenshots from a 24/7 mining session with low fan speeds. Or they are 100% doctored BS that don’t remotely stack up to scrutiny. Anyone believing those and even posting them is simply showing their bias and lack of critical thinking skills.

Dunno, Gibbo has been pretty open about what's happening, but even he said he wouldn't know final price until today.

I suspect as with the nvidia cards they probably won't be updated to the actual price until around launch time

What’s even more telling is we have many different examples of such behaviour. AMD are not the consumers friend, but Nvidia take it to a new level.
oh 100%, I dont doubt that AMD would do the same if they had the opportunity.

Looking forward to seeing actual pricing, if we even get it before reviews go live. Will we see some upcoming tariff elasticity dragging us toward future adjusted price?

100% GDDR 6 on my card is usually at 75c and that’s over clocked.

as far as I am aware FSR4 uses the same info and api endpoints as FSR3 so a swap would be very easy for developers if they do it thats a diff question

I think FSR4 might be coming to the 7000 series, because on AMD's own presentation, there was a FSR4 toggle in Adrenaline on a 7800XT
