OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

I was one of the (unfortunately) many who had card in basket at 1:58 only to wait for over two hours to be told the card is OOS.
I'm not that unhappy as although I do need a new card (have a 3070FE) I can continue running what I have but I had planned to give my old card to my eldest to finish the computer I built them for Christmas. That has obviously been canned now and I'm really struggling to accept paying north of £650 for a card that should really be sitting around the £500 mark (not a slight on AMD, more that the GPU scene has moved prices upwards far too quickly and far too much).

Going to have to wait and see if the prices level out in the months to follow as the two teams produce more cards.

Clearly bots have won most of the MSRP cards! I'm just annoyed that OCUK on how this was organised, had a card in my basket for close to 2 hours unable to checkout, I have to think that's bots DDOSing and trying to snipe as many cards as they can with fresh accounts.

At least you have a working 3070, I've had a dead 2080 Ti since Decemeber and been waiting for this launch. I can't play anything...

Checked on the off chance at about 16:50. Nothing

Went for a wee for a few minutes. Came back and the Gigabytes had been and gone.

Lol

Yeah, really feel for you. I would be apoplectic right now if I was banking on getting a card today to be able to continue my hobby.

Hope everyone manages to get the card they want for the price they want.

Managed to snag the Gigabyte one at MSRP.

I set up the browser extension Distill to monitor for changes in the 'Out of stock' part of the page for the MSRP cards. Got pinged shortly after as soon as the Gigabyte ones came in stock and managed to purchase. Just a tip for those still without, especially as there may be more restocks throughout the day(s). Extension probably wouldn't have done anything whilst the website was ******** the bed, but now it's calmed down it works well :)

Notify me when back in stock doesn't even seem to get the chance to trigger before a cards OOS.

Would be nice if the notification was sent 5-10min before the store was updated, at least that way humans could maybe get a look in.

yeh, its not quick enough.
