Same as any other GPU. There are weird people willing to pay well above retail prices for some bizarre reason.

I find it hard to believe this is genuine gamer + scalper demand. It doesn't make sense that there are multiple thousands of these being sold today and that demand coming from gamers and scalpers. I can't think where else it could be coming from, but there aren't that many gamers wanting a mid range upgrade surely.

Yeah really bad luck for you there, I did the same thing, refreshing a few mins before 2pm and I guess must have just squeezed the payment through in time before it hit the fan, as I got the Bad Gateway error post-payment so wasn't sure if it went through. Hope you can get one in one of the other upcoming drops!

Was just checking an auction site for how many 9070 XT's have sold, it's a grand total of 1 for £894.12.

Looks like retails are going to be getting a lot of returns within the next 14 days.

Hopefully they cancel their order. I want to see 0 scalped cards selling. Even better if they got them on finance and can't return them for some reason.

What is even more crazy is that its handing over £900 to some random ebayer, which means warranty long term could become problematic.

Yeah, they all say "will include invoice" but that doesn't really help if none of it is in the user's name, address, etc.

eBay is good for some second hand stuff and small purchases. I'd never dream of getting new or "new" expensive stuff there.

There are many still running high end 2000 or 3000 series cards or mid range 6000 series from team red who have been thoroughly unimpressed by releases since then and I include myself in that with a 3080. The sad thing is, I was ready with my account logged in and would’ve bought a white steel legend XT if I could have got one for MSRP but only ten at that price, and the website ******** the bed for hours meant I’m not not going to buy at all now. At £529 it’s great value. At closer to £650 I’ll wait.

Today ? You are not going to like the answer but £700-750 from OCUK on the basis that the alternatives choices you have are poor.
