*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I honestly don't get everyone saying don't spend a hundred and a bit more for the card you want. It's not a lot more for the design, better cooling, better performance. Not everyone goes for the bog standard models.

It's still far cheaper than any 5070ti.
That’s cope.

There’s maximum 10% OC potential over base cards. Paying at least 22% more for the privilege….

Yep. I really liked the look of the Nitro+ so that's the one I ordered. Also my 5700XT Nitro has been an amazing card for over 5 years.

Who could have foreseen lol? Oh wait AMD had like nearly 2 months warning? Loool.

Thing is look at how much stock ocuk had, times that by the other big 3 competitors in the UK, then think how many globally, that's a lot of GPU and significantly more than Nvidia, think I see gobbo said only had a few hundred Nvidia cards, and less than 10 5090's at launch.

AMD have not ballsed up, just the world wants GPU's,

Are you really blaming AMD for unprecedented demand, scalpers and a worldwide launch? OcUK alone said they had thousands, it sounds to me like there were huge numbers UK/Europe/Worldwide, just not enough to meet the unprecedented demand.

Not necessarily for the stock shortages, but the fake MSRP. It shows that AMD were still delusional on their initial pricing expectations. They must have been aiming a fair bit higher before they finally realised how stupid it would be.

I think AMD will have a steady stream of these GPUs being supplied to retailers, but the “real” MSRP is now $50 higher at least.

Why are you talking like they're wasn't thousands of cards at just a single uk store? If amd didn't have a large number of cards ocuk wouldn't have been able to get thousands, they would have had substantially less as there would be less to go around.

The fact they had so many indicates that there was a lot to go around and it still wasn't enough. Probably due to people seeing the reviews of the joke 5070 and changing their minds and wanting one of these.

According to the OCUK website they have only sold 20+ of the Pulse model that they had 1000+ of though...

I think that's a fair assessment. But the higher-end models do have some real benefits, not least of which cooling and noise. Is that worth £140 more over a base model? Probably not, but everyone has their use case.

I think the issue is many people who have been looking for a new card are coming out an abusive relationship with nV and the market in general. So when finding out your current potenial partner farts in bed is a lot better than a partner who was high mantenaince, called you names, and gaslit you -- not a big deal.
