OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

the good price is gone, all scalped, maybe a few lucky ones but lots of new faces on here tonight with lots of success -- too suspicious for my liking, i'm out
Yep was going to say the cards have gone from 'must haves sub £600' to now 'overpriced il just wait for the next releases'. You could make the argument that £630 is still ok, but paying anymore than that for these is crazy.

AMD played a blinder though, get the good reviews then screw everyone after day one release.

I ordered the 9070 XT steel legend, it was meant to be an MSRP card and the price current reflects the same as other MSRP models. But the price i paid was closer to £670. Did i get ripped off?

Genuinely considering canceling it if the card is cheaper tomorrow than what i paid today.

Ended up pre ordering the Sapphire Nitro + Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card hopefully I won’t regret it with the 12v hp!!

To be blunt I expect that I won't recieve the card even though OCUK have taken the money and given me an order number. The order system is messed up no tracking details at all and the status is unknown so you never know there might be some MSRP cards back up when OCUK have to refund people who's orders have gotten messed up.

Don't worry you will still get a card to scalp, the baskets are live and doesn't allow for overselling. There's no tracking because Gibbo was doing this from home with no staff in the office.

I really wish the GPU's were like consoles or electronics or whatever where there's a price, and that's the price. Not it just going up later because. This has easily been the worst launch period for this kind of rubbish. At least the 30 series had an excuse of covid, it was always going to be tough dealing with a unprecedented world-wide pandemic, but there's nothing of the sort now. It's just mess after mess.

A couple of interesting comments from Hardware Unboxed on pricing:

I saw a post on FB earlier from someone in the US that picked up a 9070XT from Micro Center and it had the MSRP sticker over another sticker that said $899.99.

Whether that was the planned MSRP but they changed it, your guess is as good as mine. None of the retailers will be allowed to confirm it even if it is true.

Honestly was easier getting a 2080 super in Covid than it’s been this year it just doesn’t make sense!

I see a lot of people here complaining about new members snagging a card. Im not a first time buyer on OCuk but I am a first time poster on the forums.

I really do think you are lowering you chances by using cards that require confirmation, I used PP and from the time it said "In stock" it took me 3 clicks and it was order confirmed all within maybe 5-10 seconds maximum.
