OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

I want to go for the basic 9070, mainly because I don't need 4k and it looks like it'll only draw 350 watts max, but I dont know which model to go for lol.
In terms of aesthetics, I like the look of quite a number of them, especially the Red Devil. However, there's no way in hell (no pun intended) that I'd spend £600 on the non-XT version.

In fact, the only ones I wouldn't consider buying for my personal taste, would be the white or silver coloured cards. They've never appealed to me.

I would just go for a make with decent warranty (at the very least 2 years, preferably 3).

From a business owner perspective when I get orders from customers via PayPal while it shows as paid on the customers end it often shows pending on our side can take anywhere from a few mins to a couple of hours to process I’m assuming OcUK have the same issue?

That’s my understanding they are shipped based on when the payment is completed not when the order is placed. There shouldn’t be a problem though as they have said they aren’t selling more then they.

yeh im not spending a penny over £569 for one of these now. If that means i dont get one so be it.

I have a feeling they will be back down to that soon enough though..
Yep, I'm with you on that. Surely now the MSRP is set, future deliveries will be purchased by the retailers for the corect amount, so no rebates needed. It's all a mess, if AMD had not tried to price these higher in the 1st place and lower it last minute, MSRP cards would be plentiful.

If your order goes through and you get an order number, you have a card. :)

The checkout won't allow an order to complete if the stock has run out.
Any chance my temporary ban can be lifted @Gibbo ? I bought a non XT version by mistake and since they I have been "temporarily banned" from the website, I cant even log into my account through Chrome. If an XT one comes on sale I want, I cant even buy it. I have submitted a ticket to cancel the order of the non XT already.

I also unfortunately ended up picking up a steel legend for £657.98 instead of MSRP I'm not sure what to do, conflicted I need a gpu it's an upgrade and do I faff around cancelling, waiting potentially weeks for another card at MSRP which is a big if, likely won't happen, does suck but I'm likely to just stick with it. Been a long day scouring all the sites to pick a 9070xt up lol

MRSP cards are now going to be £630 for the foreseeable, you need to decide if the £30 difference is worth it.

They wont honor the price because the price isnt a mistake. Only a limited number of each card was available at MSRP, after that the price went up. The version you bought only had 10 available at MSRP I believe.
I know this but gibbo himself said here the prices should go up for MSRP cards to 629.99 after the MSRP allotment is gone, id be happy with that price. Im not happy with an extra 35+ pounds on top of that.

i dont get it, first time i tried for a msrp xt i added to basket then had to go through paypal 2fa choose payment and still got the card.lol. christ im off to buy a lottery ticket

Ordered a RX 9070 XT Hellhound at 16:16 today order confirmed but nothing from DPD yet, guess the team there are flat out still. Had the option to change delivery type a couple of times but it timed out and then eventually just jumped to payment but says dpd pickup point however I didnt specify one so maybe thats why no notification from DPD?

The Steel Legend was never an MSRP card. Asrock don't offer a base card, as such they offered us support to sell 10 at MSRP at a big cost to them, we sold those 10 earlier today.
End of today they had permission to do 10 more, those were sold tonight.

I spoke to them this evening, they cannot authorise any additional support, the Steel Legend cost a lot more than a Pulse/Reaper as its a higher-end card with more expensive cooler, hence its correct price is £659 which gives OcUK 8% margin, the lucky ones who got one at £569 are very lucky as that card will never be that cheap again.

As such if you are unhappy with yours, you are welcome to cancel your order for a full refund, but we have no more funds to be able to offer any more at a loss.

Annoying that the graphics card front page says both the Pulse and Reaper 9070's are in stock, but then when you add it to cart they are marked as out of stock.

I imagine so.

Demand won't be infinite.

Sales will eventually dry up at £629 once the hype dies down, and they will be back to £569.
